From what I've been told, such money is not meant to be kept by the performers, but instead donated to charity. But, then again, I don't know if that's actually the customary thing to do or just what some benevolent people do of their own volition.Gurvir said:the money is thrown for three reasonsrajkaran said:can someone explain to me this money-throwing concept? I don't get it...and I've never seen it done at any of my family events (and that's a lot). What's the significance? Who picks up the money afterward? Who's the money for? In some ways, I'm a bit against it because I was always told to respect money and not throw it around/step on it...so I'm a bit confused. Anyone care to enlighten me?
1- you like the dance
2- you are related to the dancers and therefore feel obligated to show you like it
3- you're drunk lol
and usually the team keeps the money
Yeah that is common up in toronto area..my uncles wedding was like that..shit is cleanJagga said:that dolly thing is a crane lol...pretty common in T dot...Dreamscape be holding it down
Yea, a DJ would only get money if he's running an entertainment service that brought the dancers for the host.Rohit said:Well for the money thing. Unless the team is doing a performance as a charity I don't see why the money on the floor would be given to charity. The money on the floor is not given to the dj but the performers and is picked up by an attendent of the party (a sense of gratitude) sense the dancers are bringing enjoyment to there party. Umm sometimes dancers do donate the money to the dj or others but thats if the dance itself is meant to be a gift.
I've done the same. That was an entertaining ass performance. Love how manna came in on jagga jatt. That was awesome.......also about the money throwing thing, I've seen kids pick up the money at the end of the performance and give it to the dancers. I think thats the best job for kids because it doesnt look too good when you see a 20 or 30+ year old person picking up all that money. Then again, a broom would do the job just fine. Dunno why thats never been used haha. Just have one of the people working at the banquet hall grab a push broom and gather all the cash.Vick said:I've ripped SGPD like no other, but damn, I'd pay this team to dance at my party...
