Hey BTF!

Here's our performance from Big 10 Bhangra last weekend. Lots of positive points about this comp, but above all, their hospitality was amazing. It was their focus and they definitely delivered. Congrats to Abhishek, Riya and the rest of the exec team. Also shout out to our liaisons Rahul and Hargeet. Thank you so much for all your help, especially that one Starbucks mission! You two (and your fellow liaisons) were extremely caring and we can't express how much we appreciated your support.

Also shout out to our Fever friends who came out to support. It was amazing to see you all there and we hope we made your trip worth it.

Shout out to our hometown supporters who tagged along with us too! You know who you are and you guys made this trip and the atmosphere very memorable. Thank you!

Congratulations to MMD and UVA for their placings at Fever
And also to FCB and Buckeye for placing at BXB.

These past two weeks were extremely hectic, but totally worth it. We're honoured to have competed against all these amazing teams and especially to be featured in the stacked line up at BXB. Spectacular performances from all teams!

Below is our video. Hope you guys enjoy and notice the improvements from the Fever set. Comments and critiques are always welcome.

I'll repeat what I said after MCB: You guys are un real to watch. I 1000% recommend any bhangra lover to make all attempts to see these guys live. Videos do no justice.

Hats off to you guys, and congrats on first!!

If you ever need evidence of why focusing on bandhar tapoosiyan/gymnastics is a waste of time, its these guys. They do moves you see in every set but its simply on a different level from every dancer 1-12. Last year they did faslaan and the entire circuit lost it.

watching this live was a treat! You guys have the execution, choreo, and drops down but would love to see some more intricate formations. If you can add that to your sets you'll be one of those teams that people talk about for years

good job
I think having ALL 12-16 dancers who are balanced, well executed, and happy will always be more memorable than those teams
who cant sit still, those who change their formation/choreo every 2 beats and while at the same time shitting all over their execution. The formations a 14 or 16 man will have, is obviously more complex than a 12 man team. Having additional dancers, allows you to be more creative with formations, but also creates an even bigger risk when it comes to execution
because not everyone will look the same, you will always have those few dancer standing out.
Too many teams are throwing away their dancing abilities just to show their complex formations on stage, and failing to realize that some formations only look good on paper.
balance is key, your formations did not seem as complex for others but they were perfect for your team, this set and stage size too, simplicity is the highest form of sophistication.
keep your identity, congratz on first again.

I guess it comes down to personal taste. I couldn't care less about what shape 16 dudes on a stage made or how they got there. The sheer rawness of a someone being front and center dancing their heart out will always put a bigger smile on my face than a dancer cutting the tail end of a move in order to move to the next spot. I feel like that's been lost in the past few years where judges keep saying "make more creative/intricate formations" so in order to win, teams focus on that and just use bhangra steps as a filler medium to simply move bodies around a stage. This is especially annoying considering most of the audience will be watching from a front view where the birds eye view from which the formations were thought up is completely invisible.

This performance was quite a bit more enjoyable than Fever -- partly due to the lighting at fever being high key booty and partly the choreo changes with doing tunka in a circle for MCB throwback and the other small things. The simpler formations highlighted the strength of the dancing which should be the cornerstone of a BHANGRA team.

Jagmeet has hella lachhak. Would be dope if the majority of the team also got close to that level.

Keep it up guys. Can't wait for the next one.

This! Amazing! From Fever to this! Loved this performance! The sheer rawness of form in the routine is what is so great! Teams can get creative doing jumps, gimmicks, etc, however when it comes to form they lack at places. From start to finish each one of your guys' form never died down. Each one of your dancers brought their own nakhra which I loved! Please, if there is any new team out there trying to learn, refer to this team. Your energy was amazing, no one tried to outdo another. Form over anything. Sometimes simple is key to winning. Keep doing what you're doing because I think it is high time now that actual Bhangra comes back. Thank you for this amazing performance!

It's a shame teams like this don't compete more often. The focus on just dancing and traditionality was refreshing. Nothing was overdone and it shows keeping things simple but executing it well can get a team very far. This was a pleasure to watch.

I still cannot comprehend how you guys can do a set without cones!!! This alone should get 10-15 points.

Well done boys! This is the type of Bhangra that's needed in today's circuit. Folk!

However, I did find the stage to be annoying as hell. You could see the dancers being restricted from executing the formations or moves properly at some points. Imagine if they had gone 16 guys on that stage! Could've ended up costing them the first place and it would've been all because of the stupid stage set up.
