Shaan Punjab Di takes pride in currently being the only all-girls live bhangra team from the United States, their passion for dancing and love for our culture is what has motivated them to go against the odds and compete in live bhangra where there are mainly teams formed by all males.

I think this team should take it one more step up, and have a live-female singer.

They did a couple years back Allar Mutiyaaran Punjab Diyan @ Nachda Punjab 2010

Wow, all i have to say is Wow. You girls have stepped it up in a way that i've never seen before. Do not keep your heads down for not placing as this very much did deserve a placing. The talent on this team is just incredible...so many amazing dancers..smiling was on point. The level of dancing talent 1-8 was very consistent. My only critique is that when holding props (ie khunday, katoos, etc) try to look more comfortable holding rather then making it look as though the prop was controlling you (this was evident during the khunda segment, i know those things are huge but you have to have control on them) Regardless, congrats on a spectacular performance!

[Indy Bassi (dholi)]

I'm still scratching my head about how this team did not place

@The Honest Truth, Thank you!!!

Gagan, Raja, Indy, Sonu, Lehmber, Ajit -- Da Band, u guys are the best!! Harjot thank you so much not only for the video but for the MP3. I hope we get the chance to compete again soon. Unfortunately it seems like a lot of live competitions are dying out (and I just got here, wth?! lol) ... but hopefully that changes.

My favorite performance by you guys up to date! I like that the smaller red jodi shaved for this competition..

The smaller red jori looks like they could be related to the darker red jori on Ankhiley Gabroo

Unbelievable level of skill and execution on display, very impressed by what I saw here. Definitely showing this to the girls on my team as something they should aspire to. Only critique I have is that a few smiles dropped here and there (the gift and the curse of being able to see everything with GTV lol). Regardless, congrats on a fantastic performance and hope to see more from you soon!

This was awesome. It made me so happy to see girls go live, I've been hoping to see that for a while and this thread also exposed me to older performances of the kind.

I noticed that the overall energy of this performance was overall higher than a lot of the live performances I've seen. It was noticeable through much higher legs mostly. That was great to see. Couple of the girls had noticeably less smiles though, which took away from the performance. Yellow jodi looked awesome.

Definitely looking forward to more from this team, and with female singer as well. Speaking of band - "Sound Effects" guy was great hahaha. Seems like the ideal role to play in a live performance.
