This is the hardest lineup to predict I have ever seen.

It's to early to tell, but I must go with SGPD at number one as they are still the best team in north america.

Idols, thank you so much for a live stream. I don't think there is any question as to which competition is the best in north america either

idk how many of you have ever competed or seen the judging rubric for bhangra idols..but last year when our team went, we realized how meticulous the judging was. there's cameras from pretty much every angle, cleanliness is a must, and there are numerous requirements (stunts, props, etc..), and not to mention - the crowd is absolutely amazing - to me this is by far and wide the best overall competition in north america. for the judging reasons ive mentioned and being back to back champions, i think sgpd will take this over nj for those specific reasons - for this comp you cant just prac for a couple weeks and expect to win, it takes months and literally perfecting every part of your routine!

ps - raj sangha does a phenomenal job running this competition - best host we've ever had!

for the judging reasons ive mentioned and being back to back champions, i think sgpd will take this over nj for those specific reasons - for this comp you cant just prac for a couple weeks and expect to win, it takes months and literally perfecting every part of your routine!

interesting. sgpd has not competed in months, so they must be perfecting a lot, and by that standard, they are for the third year heavy heavy favorites to win...i fear for the bhangra circuit...haha, very very excited for this comp, and thank the lord i can see it live!

great line-up! i always wanted to compete at Idols at least once! Heard it's nutty weekend and the rubric is one of the best (love the stunt/gimmick req. ) Best of luck to all of the teams and if SGPD can take it a third year that'll put them in a place in the record books not many are apart of ( off the top of my head KJ Fusion 03-05 and VCU Blowout 08-10 are the only 3peats i know of)

reasoning:

SGPD : going to come hard this year but they are going to have to create a new set apart from new york so the time advantage goes to NJ but SGPD won't disappoint, and they're defending a title to achieve 3peat status so that's insane incentive right there.

NJ : they are the most capable team in the line up but they've been falling short of expectations recently and I'm pretty sure they read all the comments we've been posting so they should have more then enough motivation by now to just absolutely tear the stage up, if they don't then I don't know what to say.. but I'm expecting big things from this team they just need inspiration.

PCBCA : clean and insanely talented dancers but they dance really simple sets.. in order to beat SGPD/NJ they need to take risks and perform much harder complicated routines.. if they can pull that off they have an equal chance to rob 1st place and they are more then capable its just about the entertainment now.. modern music has morphed so much that you got to adapt your style just to survive, forget the extremely folk routines, leave that style for live.. trust it I hate modern bhangra for what it is and I'm a HUGE fan of folk bhangra and folk dance moves but in order to stay afloat a team has to change with the style of bhangra that's in demand and right now its gimmicks and clever moves.

Yeah cleanliness along with the hype factor definitely wins the game at idols. The crowd is also by far the wildest that i've seen at any comp.
