Regarding these concerns, it is not stated within the Singer Callout Registration Package that singers are required to with-hold the usage of any instruments within the audio sample. Further, the term "Acapella" is absolutely not present at any point within the package, nor is our call-out categorized as one incorporating such a vocal method in any competitive audio samples.
In regards to the Personal Message, the PM was intended to be private - we were not publicly slandering you, but your decision to publicise our PM thread warrants a form of an 'attack' on us. If you have never before met this specific person, you are in no position to highlight his/her name in a public thread on a global forum.

I'm just saying that with the polls hidden, it all seems shady. I mean if you just state everything outright that is more of a way to make your competition legit than hiding things. Some of your committee could be related or affiliated to the singers, how would anybody else know?
I know nothing about this, so I am not attacking you but giving you a suggestion because I understand where other people who are upset could be coming from. I'm basing my knowledge on other online singing contests, which you could be entirely different from.

Thank you for you comment. It is definitely a legitimate concern that needs to be addressed.
The reason we would prefer out committee to stay anonymous is not because we are trying to be shady but is because these are the wishes of some of the committee members. In our minds we do not believe that to be professional we must state who is on the committee and what their exact role is. We love what we do and wouldn't exchange it for the world; the passion we have for Bhangra and organizing Bhangra competitions should be enough. The last thing we would want to be is shady. We are not here to fool the teams or applicants of the call out; we just want to show Vancouver, BC really how beautiful Bhangra is and how South Asians are multi talented.
As for the affiliation and relation concern, it is very hard to not be affiliate or related to in a competition in the Bhangra community. With that being said, in no way would that/those person/people get any special treatment. Yes, it would be fantastic to see him/her win but we would not fix the contest to make that happen. We believe in their talent and if they win great. If not, there's always next year! We in no way want to be that type of competition/contest. We hid the polls because we thought it would make the contest a little more exciting and add a little mystery to it. It is intended that we will allow for the stats to show tomorrow/tonight at 12:00am PST (an announcement we were planning to make later today, but we definitely do not mind doing it now!), but will hid the stats again at 11:00am PST, an hour before the polls close, to also add to the excitement of finding out who won.
Hopefully, this clears anything and everything up. If not, please let us know!

Hello BTF
First, we would like apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone. Earlier today we announced that we would be releasing the stats for the online poll, unfortunately we will no longer be doing so. Some applicants are uncomfortable with this idea as they believe that it will become a rat-race; something we completely agree on. So, in an attempt to make everyone happy we will release the stats at 10:00am PST and will hide the stats again at 11:30am PST; the last 30mins will left for everyone to figure who will win! Hopefully, this change in plan will not be a large convenience to anyone.
