I agree with temur, harman and Ak_Di_Nishani. This topic seems unnecessary and sounds silly to me. In all honesty it sounds silly because, from our perspectives, it sounds almost like a whining child seeking retribution. Not going to sugarcoat it - essentially it sounds like you are whining about not getting into this competition. Its understandable you are upset about not gaining acceptance into this competition but its all good :p. Not a big deal. Teams get rejected all the time - it happens. Don't take it so personally as there is nothing wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with your team. There will be plenty more competitions in the future :D

Thats the key, my team was pretty mad about getting shafted, but then we turned our anger into fuel. In fact, when we practiced, we kept getting shafted as our reason to go harder.

seriously tho im just joking. but in all honesty yeah you should have gotten accepted especially with the presence of girls teams kinda dropping and it would have been good to see you girls go head to head against dcbc on home court, but oh well shit happens move past it. we all want more transparency, from team selections to judging especially. we all know what we are getting into and the shadiness involved.

maybe they just watched the video and not cared what team it was? that way its more unbiased for lack of a better word.
i dont wanna say that knowing which teams' video it is turns it into a completely biased decision on acceptance but it lets be honest and face it - it definitely changes things. A fairly good video sent by an AMAZING team will probably be favored over an AMAZING video sent by a team noone has ever heard about.
so whining and saying SMD has been here here and here and placed here here and here just makes it sound like they should accept you just because you are SMD not based on the video that you sent in. Maybe other teams that applied had a better video??? thats upto the organisers.

SMD you're a good team and there are many other competitions on the east coast. One isn't going to make or break you guys (girls). Just pm the comp and discuss it further. Discussing it on btf is just gonna end up with a bad name for either the comp or your team and everyones just going to rack it up to 6 pages of defending the last thing they posted instead of getting an answer to the initial question which was FOR the committee I'm assuming. And I'm sure nobody is trying to do anyone dirty so sarre jaane bas kurro.
