Sony Acid Pro Question

I finally figured out how to change tempo in one file and put together bunch of different tempo songs in just one giant file instead of many different files. I have a question regarding dragging of all files together.

Let's say you have about 200 loops in one file and you want to smooth out transition in the middle of the mix. Is there way I can lock out rest of the files, like when I drag one song to another rest of them back loops automatically get shifted. I know it's confusing. I have used the highlight button on the ribbon which is used to select bunch of loops and move it together. I guess my question would be how to lock in the selected part so I won't have to keep using the select button every time I need to add something in the middle. It takes time to select the whole selection button from bottom to top and can get old fast.

You can't lock certain tracks. That why you have to good arrangement and work flow.

I stopped using acid but when I did I would group each segment making it easier to work with and when I need to move large chunks it was easy.

Use folders and arrange each segment in its own folder. You can insert a folder by right clicking on any track channel and selecting insert folder track. Just toss the clips you want to be grouped together in that folder by dragging and dropping and now you can highlight the folder and move everything in it with ease instead of highlighting each track bottom to top.
