Canada needs to step up against the Swiss and the States or Russia is going to step all over them. Watching Russia play just now, they're fast and have some sick chemistry which Canada has got to stop. Don't forget about Sweden, they're pretty stacked too.

dude, what olympics are you watching? Canada needs to step up against the swiss and the us? Are you serious? Canada has the best lineup going into the olympics. Got offense? Check. Defense? Check. Goaltending? Check. Sweden will not pose a thread in this tournement with the amount of injuries they have. I'd love to see them in the gold medal game, but it probably won't happen. You're totally forgetting that the russians are a team full of sour egos. Their defense is average at best (in this tourney) and goaltending is nothing without a solid D. Their offense is not going to carry them through these games thats for sure. On paper, sure Russia might have the best offense, but they're gonna have a tough time against the likes of Pronger, niedermayer, boyle, seabrook, etc. Canada's got too much grit in all aspects of its game. Russians play like a bunch of pussies.

I'm with you on that but but I watched the Swiss/USA game yesterday and they have a good defensive bunch. Norway got pretty tired and started coughing up the puck which led to a lot of Canada's goals. I know it's mostly a new team but nobody wants Torino 06 all over again when we beat Germany 5-1 and then got shutout to the Swiss 2-0. My picks are:
