Edit: So after talking as a team, we decided that the strides we took for this performance were too great for us to hold the video until later on. Though we plan to use large portions of this set again (we changed like half the set between every comp we've done this year, and found something thats on the brink of working), we are very very very proud of this performance, with both its flaws and successes. We've received tremendous responses and lots of great feedback, and we hope we will receive more. There are so many people out there that made our performance a success and you all know exactly who you are. Thanks for all the love, we couldn't do half of what we do without you. So here are 2 new video views, in addition to the mislabeled video that so many of you have been watching as asking me about :) . We hope you enjoy watching this even half as much as we enjoyed performing it.

Full 1080p HD from Balcony (shout out to Kamalpreet Thiara for the mad camera skills. nothing but love for you).

Re: Guardians of Bhangra @ Big Apple Bhangra 2010!

Woop..well...I missed you guys on Saturday...so I've been waiting to watch the video..loved every minute of it..I'm gonna try and do my best to at least find some kind of constructive criticism...

I think doing a 12 man set..you were hurt by a relatively small-er stage...just like FCB....it got fairly crowded when you were in a horizontal line..it hurt you the most during the saap segment because you absolutely need space for it..otherwise it looks like some of the dancers are half assing it even though really the problem is spacing...really isn't your fault..but its something I noticed.

Formations at times were a little bit off (see circle at 5:40)...NOT to a degree where you couldn't tell exactly what the formation should be...but its only natural for me to compare this set to the other premier sets of the night...in which formations were absolutely perfect...in formations with pairs..often times the spacing between the two dancers varied greatly between pairs...I don't know whether you just weren't splitting marks on stage or whether thats just now how you planned it.

A huge strength of yours lies in the fact that all your dancers do every move in a uniform fashion...that will go along way if you can just clean up spacing a bit. Nakhrey, Energy, and Grace are all there from what I could see..and I really enjoyed the set, mix, and song selection.....I think it has everything you need in it...I can't recall what rock song you sampled but perhaps its time to retire it...IMO, I thought it took away from the performance a bit...the mix kinda just bottoms out and your left with that....

P.S. If this review seemed nitpicky, it most definitely was...it should give everyone a good indication of the level of competition at Big Apple. Make no mistake about it, this set and the way it was performed would have placed at the majority of competitions in North America. The things I pointed out were things I saw in your set that I did not see in the other placing sets.

Also, Aman Dhaliwal was the one that was singing at the beginning, and Ricky Dhariwal (aka Ricky Jatt) was playing dhol for us.

OH and the rock song is Sweet Child of Mine by Guns n Roses.

really digged the guns n roses jhoomer, and your guys slow jhoomer was really graceful and at a really good pace, like that alot, dont change that

two things that jumped out at me:

formations: you guys are from all over the place, so its almost impossible to practice formations to the extent that other teams can, but some of the formations were messy, clean those little mistakes up, like one guy being out of line or a couple guys throwing the circle off, just little stuff

Saap Segment: the guys really need to open up their saaps more, because at some parts the saaps are barely open (ex. when you guys are doing the aanda), and i think its a tendency of people with a dominant right hand to do this but, when your right hand is above, you get a decent extension on the saap but when the left hand comes up, the saap doesnt open much, hope you understand what im talking about lol

but besides that, performance was awesome

If I had any suggestions of improvement it would be this: Circles

Throughout the routine your circles, whether the smaller ones or the big one before the jugni were either lopsided or lengthened too much on one side. Esp with circles, if even one person is off it can cause one whole side of the formation to be longer or shorter cuasing the shape of the entire circle to loof. When we practice circles, we either make one person the 'point' of the circle on each side or a pair...yes i know i know circles don't have points but you need SOME sort of reference...and then the rest of people slot in making straight lines just a little curved. During movement, if the 'points' of the circle are hit theres no way it can be offf...

Plus a lot of turns were off...make sure esp for the fast turns that people turn at the same time at the same beat

anyways... these are just general suggestions that we make...take it for what it iss

A while ago i said PDAP was the only good thing to come out of the south....i totally retaract that statement :D

...EVERY TEAM at BAB brought and brought it HARD...just shows you the high standard that was set at this competition including you guyss

Thanks for all the feedback guys. This is really why we decided to post the video. As much as things did fall into place for us, there are still basic weaknesses that we have to figure out how to overcome. Keep any feedback or just plain ol' love coming! Teams that aren't from T-dot like to be showered with affection too :)

People who've been asking for the mix... We're deciding what we're using for future comps, and if there is a significant amount of change, I'll drop it. For those of you with the correct connections, however, it has been leaked and is floating around, though i don't condone its sending....
