Here are Bankian Naaran's new suits. We decided to keep all our kurtas white to make the team look more unified. We didn't get the embroidered ambi or leaf that the tailor normally does either and added phulkari chunnis. :)

just kidding - it really does look good i think. i think a lot of people were shocked at first since it's so new/cutting edge but it's grown on me and i'm sure it will on others too. it fits with your "festive" dances because your mela scenes are always festive - energetic, chaotic, fun, etc. i like that they're not technical or confined - everyone is doing something different and seemingly doing it randomly...they seem spontaneous, and your chaadre exude spontaneity and playfulness too.

I'm not sure that SGPD was the first to use rainbow color idea. I coulda swore I saw PAU or some other indian team vid where they had MOST if not all the same colors.

I don't like it when teams do inverted for the jodis. I think it makes it too hard on the eyes to understand who's with who and why everyone is slightly different but slightly the same.
+1
Dhesi - do you mean both the guys and girls are inverted, like how VCU used to do? i thought for their color scheme it looked pretty good and i didn't think they should have changed - i really haven't seen any other CoEd team do alternate colors, though...

Yea I suppose I mean VCU too. Like taking the colours red and yellow for example. All variations of the colours are present. One guys is yellow on red, one guy is red on yellow, one girl is yellow on red, and one girl is red on yellow (if that makes sense). It doesn't look too bad on VCU because the other jodi's are very different colours from red and yellow. But what I was mostly referring to is if all the guys were red on yellow and then the girls were yellow on red.

Attached is side by side comparison of teams that I believe are leading this trend. Discuss. Let me know if other teams have similar sets.
im not a fan of this though, I dont theink a trend should be set in vardiyan. They all look wayyyy too much the same. Waris are different b/c of their kurte and the colors are inverted i think. And sgpd went a another level with those chadre. Ive been a fan of the united ones too, i would prefer, normal cotton 1 piece paggan though.

United pictures are dope because there are almost as many instrumentalists as there are dancers. I was looking at the picture and at first I was like why are like 6 of them in one colour and the rest aren't. My blonde moment.

this is a lil weird but i think its very very sexy, when a chadra is tied properly and the team hits a chaal or a proper jugni and you see the outline of the leg :-*

i would of posted a more specific pic of a certain team or 2, but i thought i play it safe and post a general pic ;)
