thatd be legit if a team started doin their routine at times square
I TRIEDDD... getting a permit to perform in Times Square is like pulling teeth. I wanted to get either BX Bhangra or AEG to do it, but at some point I lost my patience and gave up.

So they turned parts of Broadway into "chill spots"... one in Times Square and one in Herald Square (single handedly two of the busiest spots in Manhattan). They literally layed out beach chairs in the streets. At 2:40PM you are at the very peak of tourist traffic in Times Square, giving the group such a large crowd.

I don't have the patience to stay anywhere near Times Square. There's only so many times that I can be asked "where's the nearest Starbucks" before I lose it.

But I will say I enjoyed the performance. And kudos to whoever had the patience to deal with the NYPD for that permit.

You know you're a bhangraholic when the first thing you think of when you see NYPD is NOT the New York Police Department.

The title is deceiving.

This is just that dumb movie I'm making my debut in.

Those dancers suck!

Nah man, this is the reason there's even MORE traffic now days ...

same amount of cars + less driving space = more jams

im sure the fact that its for Bollywood Hero made it easier for them to get the permit...its ALOT easier for organizations look the IFC (the people producing Bollywood Hero) to get a permit for something like this than it is for a random performing arts group....i would know....because I tried....and failed miserably...at which point joe campy went to go try....and failed equally as miserably, lol

Hahahaa Mow, that was a disaster. Never again lol

Also, you'd be surprised. The way that both Times Square and Herald Square are arranged without these chill areas leads to more traffic and congestion. By closing down a street (I wouldnt have closed Broadway, but thats besides the point) and adjusting traffic lights accordingly, traffic flows a lot better and a lot quicker.

Or, at very least, people know to avoid Times Square and Herald Square at all costs... which still leads to less congestion in these areas.
