MAJAAJANA - Sydney, Australia

I'm not a giddha fan at ALL (sorry guys! :-*) but, I might just go to check these girls out!

Good LUCK everyone! Too bad there aren't any malvai (sp) giddha teams performing...

Why can't people appreciate giddha as much as they do bhangra? Just makes no sense to me!!

Anyhow, I'm very excited to be sharing a stage with a team from AUSTRALIA and can't forget SFU! :)

Good luck to all of us!

ENVY BANG-RUH: I wasn't talking about you! People like Raji and Vick who think giddha should be banned....NOT RIGHT! :(

Growing up I was forced to learn it and I hated it then and I hate it now. I don't think Giddha should be banned from life... but I don't find it entertaining at all. Its not fun to do or watch... and thats my personal opinion. I think Bhangra is way more graceful and much more entertaining -it captures a wider audience as opposed to giddha. You don't have to agree with me but I defiantly know that if you played a giddha boli cd and a bhangra cd you'd get more people dancing with bhangra. It is what it is..

I'm not trying to disrespect the art form or the competition those are strictly my personal views and because of that I most likely won’t attend the event. BUT, Good luck to all the teams that are performing. ;D

You'd get more people dancing to the Bhangra CD than a Gidha Boli CD mainly because..bhangra is meant to dance to at parties. When was the last time they played a Gidha Boli CD at a party. I find Gidha more fun because theres sooo much more humor in Gidha Boliyaan! =)
