TORONTO RAPTORS

So the season is coming to an end whether it be within the next few days or the next two weeks is still going to be a disappointing season for the Raps....so much expectations, so many changes.....same old results.....I have always been a raptors fan from day one, and my greatest sports memory i still being at the ACC for game 6 against the sixers during the second round of the playoffs in 2001. Most raptor fans are worried and concerned about the next two games to see if the Raps can get the 8th spot........but for me my only concern is that i think we may have seen bosh's last game in a raptors' uniform....personally i feel it would be best if the team doesnt make the playoffs and sees if they can get lucky in the lottery....have a decent position in the upcoming drat and have some sort of asset in their hand.....and for all the people saying fire Jay Trianao, that will never happen as the team is still paying Sam Mitchell for the contract he signed three years ago.......hopefully this offseason we can stay away from the European players and find a tough, scrappy, role player like Charles Oakley from back in the day.........

I don't think Bosh is coming back with the Raptors next year. Even if Toronto makes the playoffs, it's gonna be a clean sweep by the Cavs.

Firing Jay Triano wouldn't make any sense. I just hope Bosh's replacement would actually like to play for the Raptors as there are several players (Raptors' History) who don't want to play for any Canadian Teams.

Yeah i think that Bosh is going to leave Toronto, but idunno but the raps man. I think they need to make lots of roster changes this summer, that includes hedo , he does not suit the raptors,, but hopefully next season will be better for the Raptors

also if they make the playoffs, their draft pick is gone to miami since it is only lottery protected. colangelo is screwed. hopefully if bosh decides to go to dallas they can work a sign and trade and get something in return.

Bosh either goes to Miami or NYK. Plus with him injured i dont see them making the playoffs. Bulls are taking that 8th spot, then going down to Cleveland.

no one is gonna go to the knicks, they suck.

bosh will either team up with rose in chicago, wade in south beach or him and dirk will dominate the west in dallas. if dallas lands him they are gonna be unstoppable.

Bro, the knicks aint opening up 30 mill in cap space for no reason. NYK will get a combo of Lebron/Bosh or Wade/Bosh. And if Bosh ends up in SoFlo, the knicks will definitely give lebron some serious bank-roll with a bunch of different options of roll players.

They would need to drop JR Giddens and Bill Walker, since thats a Team Option, and Hope to god that Eddy Curry drops his Player option. Meaning instead of 69 million to play around with, dropping curry gives them the opp to play around with 70-71 million for the 2010-11 season.

Lebron then has the opportunity of playing with the likes of Joe Johnson/Carlos Boozer/Grant Hill and Channing Frye back to NY for about 3 mill each/Dirk Nowitzki (yes, i said Dirk, the team has the option of dropping him now if they wanted. And he is an unrestricted free-agent, meaning if he gets the opp to play with lebron, you think he'll give that up? Not saying thats gonna happen, but its always a possibility)

Roll Players along the lines of Matt Barnes, JJ Redick, Kyle Lowry, Rafer Alston, Carlos Arroyo, and many more options to take your pick from.

Look at all the free agents for next season

Im sure NY can put some sort of squad together.

Edit:

Sidenote on the free agency situation, mah Lakers can pick up Marcus Camby, if they can get a qualifying offer on adam morrison and by dropping Dj Mbenga. Oh that would be a dirty front court, mix and match with Lamar/Pau/Bynum/Artest/Camby...Hawt Damnnnn!!!!!!!!!

i was desperatly hoping Toronto would some how get the 7th seed to play Orlando ih the first round. I wanted to see VC shit on them like he always does. The guy comes in and hits game winning dunks and/or 3's on them all the timelol and they keep booing him. He made the raptors what they are and will definatly still be the greatest raptor of all time.

Bosh is gone, there's no way he's staying, Turk could not live up to his contract this year, Bargs has been the worst #1 draft pick aside from Kwame Brown. Poor raptors......and poor raptor fans!!

Before anything

@ Slammer
Its not so much that it was a bad pick because bargnani is a solid performer some nights, for instance tonight, 34 points. He just has problems wtih inconsistency. The raptors just got lucky in the wrong year, the 2006 draft class had no stand out talent that was deserving of a number 1 pick. There was brandon roy but he got looked over by 6 other times besides the raptors. For that year, bargnani was our best choice, but hes getting better and better

Well the raptors, really do need a new coach. Colangelo can only do so much when it comes to building a solid foundation or a time. The raptors have always been and still are offensively minded with a coach that really doesnt have a sense as to what the fuck defense is. Turkoglu was a complete bust, too much money on a very inconsistent player. Reggie evans was supposed to be our muscle, and hes still yet to show up in terms of valuable minutes. Our point guards are holding it down but there is no way in hell bosh is staying in toronto this year. He has no reason to and he probably will be getting more money elsewhere. Our only hope is to do a sign and trade to get something in return. Just hope it doesnt turn out like the VC trade where we got basically chump change in return ( eric williams?aaron williams?...remmeber them...no...yeah me niether).

Sad truth is, no one wants to play for a canadian team, especially in ontario because well...they really do get fucked when it comes to taxes

If Lebron wins the ring this year there is no way he bolts that situation, if he loses then there is a chance but it is tough to leave a championship calibur squad for an unknown quantity like NYK. Joe Johnson is overrated as hell but that is who the knicks will probably end up with because they probably won't be able to land anyone. Wade probably stays in Miami because they can offer him most dough and because its Miami and he might be able to convince Bosh to join him.

Dirk will never leave the Mavs, him and Cuban are BFFs and Dirk has major social problems to the point where he doesnt leave his home for days during the offseason. NY would eat him alive.

and don't ever talk about getting rid of DJ! he is the glue that holds the lakers together man!

Lebron wont get that ring in Cleveland, it just wont happen. Meaning him in NY, he can prolly convince Bosh to join him as well

It goes both ways with this Bosh, he'll be with either/or, but definitely not back in T-Dot.

With the dirk thing, like i said, prolly WONT happen, but its a possibility.

ok ok, Josh Powell and Adam Morrison. hahaha

Flukey things like Orlando getting hot from 3 again can happen but if Shaq is healthy I don't see a way Orlando can beat them. Lakers are too injured and don't have home court, its gonna be really hard to beat the Cavs even if we make it to the finals. All we can depend on is DJ Mbenga accidentally killing Lebron or something.

bosh goes to ny/nj...guaranteed

toronto made a big mistake in signing hedo turkoglu b/c he doesnt fit their system...unless im mistaken but i dnt think hes putting up anywhere near the numbers he put up w/ orlando...at least not consistentlyy

they should take turkoglu out...try and resign bosh even though it will nott work...get ED DAVIS in the draft..this guy is going to be sickkk in the nba - guaranteeed..

quite honestly toronto needs a bigg time player...a superstar other than bosh that can take over games...they need a player like a john wall, or an evan turner...qutie honestly if i was toronto id do whatever i could (trade wise) to move up from whatever draft spot i get to move to #2 if the team agrees to that...and get evan turner..hes an all round soliiddd ass baller

give up a 2nd rounder...or a future first rounder...or add a player or 2 in there if you can plus cash

id say give up 2011 first round pick plus someone else plus cash and more and get the #2 overall pick and pick up mr. turner and also see if a big man like favors or ed davis can fall to whatever spot you have...hopefully top 10 :)

trade bosh for kobe and offer kobe 50% of the ACC ownership. if he doesnt make the money off ball games, he'll make it from the leafs fans.

turky had an allright season with the magic last year... his numbers were better but not significantly.. honestly the only reason he looked better then what he is, is cuz nelson got injured and turky was allowed to play a key role bringing up the ball and setting up the offense and it was a strong role for him esp in the playoffs
he cant do that in toronto cuz of calderon and jack. so he was exposed the way he actually plays

^^ exactly. turk got hyped up last couple of years because of the role he had in orlandos offense. in reality the dude is a mediocre player and a lazy defender.
