oversized DS for 1300 dollars....

microsofts version of this was even cooler, but there's a reason most dual screen projects have been shut down, it's not worth the pricing for th RD...just get two netbooks for 600 dollars haha.

Lol nice one but I think they are only gonna release a limited number for a price tag of $1050 ... and with a full windows 7 and use as a tablet for notes, netbook (long battery life), ebook reader, multitasking, web-browsing ... seems like a good innovation! I've tried netbooks but they just don't cut it for taking notes or reading research papers etc but thats just my opinion

I would hold off just a bit, let the first gen of dual screens come out and 6 months later there will be a price drop, increase in quailty etc. All the normal stuff associated with tech (plus toshiba is calling this a 'concept' laptop anyway)

this was the Microsoft courier project, which they canceled:http://gizmodo.com/5365299/courier-first-details-of-microsofts-secret-tablet

lot's of great ideas. With the increasing profitability of the iPad being understood, these types of projects will definitely make a comeback!

Probably a good Idea at this point and I remember the courier, came out like a year before ipad ... was so disappointed when they canceled. Toshiba has always made reliable and long lasting laptops ... atleast my experience with the last 2 I had.
