Track IP Addresses

Hey does anyone know how to track an IP Address to a certain address or computer that an email came from? I have an IP address I would like to track down but when I put it into an ip tracker from google it just gives me a general area of where the internet came from. Any way to get anymore specific? (not trying to be creepy, its for harassing emails)
Thanks

i had to do it a while back, google "trace IP" or ip tracer or whatever, gives you the location of the internet service provider network center where the email initially originated from. make sure you got the right ip address from the email header, kinda sucks that certain emails dont provide header info. you wont be able to find any info beyond isp and network center location, unless ur into some serious shit and have the skills to hack into the isp servers to find out specifically what customer the email came from. lol thats high level shit and will get u sent to jail. try googling the email address or searching it up on facebook or sumthing.

does the internet service provider network center location mean that the email came from around that area or could a network centre be far away from where the email actually came from?
