Hello everyone,

This is Tufts Bhangra's mix from this season. I originally was not planing on posting this mix, simply because a lot of this mix was made last semester when i didn't know how to master at all. But then i was shocked with the news that my mix won the Best Mix award at Pao Bhangra (Thank you Cornell!), and decided that i would share it with you all, so i hope you enjoy, & please leave feedback!

Also, i would appreciate it if you guys could listen/download from soundcloud, as i just made my account. But if not i am still attaching the file here

Thank you, and enjoy.

Also, here's a link to the performance, please go check it out!

I was able to listen to this mix many times on some awesome speakers at Pao, and it truly deserved the award, excellent work bro! loved some of these ideas, very fresh and creative, you have a very unique style of incorporating different beats/songs, MGMT jhummar intro was sick! my favorite segment by far was the kainthey wale gabroo jugni, mannnnn this was too sick to hear at Pao, LOVED this concept!

alot of this probably has to do with equalizing/mastering, which I unfortunately haven't a clue about despite working on mixing for the past year or so, but some of the segments sounds vastly different on the headphones vs on the speakers, and in some cases, the background instrumentals/loops drown out the vocals too much when listening on the speakers, biggest example that I remember being the khunde mix starting at 2:06. I'm not sure whats causes this to happen, but the background song was wayyy too loud and you could barely hear the vocals, kainthey wale vocals could also be a little louder against the nelly song. mastering could help the listening quality of this mix out a ton in my opinion

great work! if possible could you give the bhangra song at 4:48?

Kids by MGMT, been wanting to use that for jhummar for a long time, props to Sangeen for making it hot.

It's been really cool to observe this kid from the beginning. From making shitty 2 layer mixes in Virtual DJ about a year ago, to this...

So proud dude. keep gettin em hard ;)

This is pretty awesome, the Kainthe Wale Gabroo concept was so sick! Great mix! :D
