Hey BTF! Here are our videos from the 2015-2016 season.

UNC Bhangra Elite had an exciting year, placing first at ATL Tamasha and Temple Tashan, and performing at Nachde Nashville and Bhangra Blowout! We would like to thank our entire team for putting in endless hours to make our set and performances the best they could be. The individual improvement throughout the year was incredible, and we are excited to see what next year holds!

We'd like to give a few special shoutouts to some people who made this past year incredible:

-Our captains Yeshel, Nirali, and Abhay for working day in and day out to make an amazing set, and for creating a Bhangra Elite family out of 30 fooligans

-Shreepal Shah and Ramakrishnan Mahalingam (happy birthday bro!) of FCBeats for dropping an absolute fire mix!

-Our seniors (Yeshel, Nirali, Debanjali, Avneet, Arpan, Jasmeet, Pooja and Maitri) for making this year unforgettable. We will miss you guys!!

-Ikam for killing it at Nashville, always a pleasure to take the stage with you!

-Dilbagh for coming in clutch and tying our paghs at Blowout

-All the teams that we got to chill with multiple times during the year (VT, CMU, Buckeye, UVA, and everyone else). Looking forward to seeing you guys in the near future!

-Harjot Hundal and GTV for providing us with two memories that we will never forget. Thank you for everything that you do man!

Hope you all enjoy the videos! Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Hi! Pretty sure this is one of my favorite UNC sets in a while, Y'allhad really strong choreo and overall hype was there; the thing I thought was lacking was execution. I just had a few thoughts on the Blowout performance:
-I feel like the intro would’ve been really hype if it wasn’t so dark. Not sure if this was a lighting cue mistake or not, but it would’ve helped to see what was going on.
-I think the one of the biggest things I noticed was that not every single person on the team executes the moves the same way. Sometimes because of differing dancing styles, the set started to look a bit messy, especially when there was very apparent differences between experienced/non-experienced dancers. Having everyone on stage dance similarly to each other (especially energy levels between dancers in the back and front) will allow the judges/audience to focus on how innovative your choreo is and fully appreciate your set.
-Loved the three prop segment idea, it hasn’t been seen yet so super creative! I loved that y'all didn't prolong it for too long, it was short and sweet.
-The second thing I noticed was the difference between the boys and girls in terms of execution and energy, especially towards the end. Most of the girl’s legs and nakhre weren’t up to par with the boys for the most part. I think Neha has a great handle over nakhre and stage presence, so she’s definitely someone the girls should look to match in the future.
-I honestly didn’t think having the dholi join the jugni segment added much to it and almost took focus away from how hard some of the dancers were going at that point.
-My team is guilty of this, too, but having a few dancers be in the front for most of the set can almost bring attention to those in the back. In this case, some of the execution is lost when some of the dancers are in the back.
-Also can feel for the banner mishap as we had a very similar situation at Hilltop but you guys recovered well!

Overall, really loved how innovative the set was in terms of choreography and glad to see UNC taking risks! Hope to see y’all this season :)
