What's up BTF!

Below you will find UNC Bhangra Elite's second place performance and mix from Bhangra Blowout 24! Want to give a huge shoutout to BB board and our liaisons Akshay and Shivani for giving us yet another amazing Blowout experience. I would also like to thank Ram Mahalingam (FCBeats) for making dope mixes for us this semester and giving us feedback on the set throughout.

Couple more shoutouts to give out:
- KINGS Productions and GTV for the Blowout videos
- Kanwar Johal for our first semester mixes
- Tejas for the nonstop help on our set and for getting our vardi to us in time for Blowout
- Sumeet for helping us with the set all year as well

This year, we decided to really change up the way UNC approached designing sets and aimed to take a lot more risk in the sets that we created. The kind of transition that we took on as a team from last year to now was incredibly difficult, and came with a lot of obstacles, but our dancers pulled through in ways we couldn't even imagine possible. In changing our set pretty heavily from comp to comp, we asked our dancers for a lot more than we normally do, and the motivation 1-12 (or 1-16) that we had on our team is something that propelled us to reach incredible new heights this year.

I wanna give a HUGE HUGE shoutout to our (many) graduating seniors: Abhishek, Anita, Arjun, Drew, Kesha, Monal, Naishal, Nitika, Rishabh, Ruchi, and Sajan. It's been such a real time with you all and we are gonna miss your guys' presence on stage so much next year.

TL;DR Enjoy ;)

Dark Blue: Sahil Dadoo and Nitika Arora
Ferozi: Drew Harrelson and Ruchi Desai
Red: Naishal Patel and Tejasee Phatak
Purple: Ace Motas and Neha Batra
Black: Karan Ravi and Kesha Acharya
Yellow: Rishabh Jain and Meghana Kodali
Green: Arjun Adhia and Sejal Mahajan
Orange: Abhay Qureshi and Deepika Potarazu

Till next year,
UNC Bhangra Elite

Y'all improved so much since last year and I'm super proud of what you all have accomplished this year.

Also, mad respect to you all for choosing to release videos after every comp and making sure your set evolved between each comp. It brought a lot of creativity to your set and it paid off.

This has been my favorite and best designed co-ed set, in my opinion, of the year. The choreography was fresh and really hype. Watching this live really made me want to get up and dance with y'all. You guys had one hell of a season (1st at Tashan, 3rd at Burgh, 1st at Buckeye Mela, and 2nd at Blowout) and also set the tone for many teams to release their videos after each comp. Sahil, Naishal, and Abhay have done an amazing job with UNC this year and I'm sure Yeshel is very proud of y'all ;). My only complaint is that I personally do not like the humongous phuman you guys wear. It looks like it limits y'all movement and doesn't let you guys hit your full extensions on moves. Yes they make your shoulders have more mohde, but sacrificing that for arm extensions and execution is not worth it.

Awesome job on the set and getting a good level for all of your dancers to execute and dance at. Saw you all live at burgh - was a treat. However, really appreciated the evolution of the set and not compromising on the set for the sake of being clean, but also maintaining a high level of execution and grace throughout your performances.

Was a treat to work with you all!

My second favorite set of the year ;)

I think in the end you guys did an excellent job of adjusting as the year went on. You guys were so willing to change choreo and change the set that it was almost like we were competing against a completely new team every few months. Your ability to learn from mistakes and bounce back from setbacks is what really made this year special from an outside perspective and I respect that a lot.

Competing against you guys was not only intense but always fun. Great to have a team that pushed us so hard (and vice versa). Well deserved success this season keep it up for next year!
