I don't think so bro...there are plenty of teams that will give us a run...and in olympics and fiba games of the past ....our biggest problem has not been blowing teams out...we seeem to be able to do that rather well......USA teams of the past...as soon as they are challenged just a little bit seem to get flustered, which doesn't seem to make sense given the skill level we have...I think the problem lies in our attitude...countries that have beat us in the past have been fiercely patriotic....a fire that we seem to lack sometimes...hopefully this year can be different, and I think it will be...just because this team knows how embarrassing another loss would be...a loss we can't afford, and a loss that some of these young guys (see LBJ) will not tolerate. Every time we don't win internationally...is a blunder in my opinion..although foreign teams have some very good basketball teams with GOOOD teamwork....if we put our 5 best out with at least half decent chemistry...theres no one that should be able to contain them.

I don't know its so much that the talent is getting worst in the USA, but I think its just its getting better all over the world.

Look at the Euro players, they are insane. Your getting complete European rosters with all nba'ers, which we never would have thought of so many years ago. I guess this is the disadvantages of the globalization of the world for the US, but it makes for better basketball and better games.

All about that Euro pride that they have. guys like arroyo, delfino, scola, they become all-stars when they throw on their country's jersey.

Exactly....we don't seem to play with the same fire...look at the teams from South America as well...they are CRAZYYY PROUD...they really throw down....it just feels lacking in our team..I don't know why...perhaps it is because ALL of our starting five are making bundles of money and could care less and also because...patriotism is not instilled as strongly in this country as it is in countries around the world.

alright im gonna play devil's advocate here...................lets be realistic, the USA team has an amazing lineup, but who are we kidding here? They let turkey score 82 points on them? I dont care how much the gap in the lead was, thats still a lot of points to give up. This is all considering the US has a crazy future hall of fame team! How about when the US plays the heavy hitters? Can we expect the same outcome? I kno team USA also has the tendency to slack off in these international bouts because they play as if they're the shits and nobody can stop them. Its mostly an offensive game with barely any defense. I wouldnt get my hopes up too high. I kno theres going to be other countries putting up a battle to the US. We'll see what happens.
