D.C. fans still have it good compared to bay area fans... Giants, 49ers, Sharks, Warriors, A's, and the Raiders, talk about years of suckage... The Sharks are our only hope...
Atleast u have the Warriors and kinda the A's. My Braves are struggling along with the historically bad Hawks (who are imrpoving), Thrashers, Falcons and I heard something about our WNBA team being 3-24 (i didnt even know we had a WNBA team haha). But when it comes to college football, UGA all the way

EXACTLY.

Now that we are in agreement. USA shouldn't be hyped up about beating Canada. Our only NBAer is a bench warmer for the heat. You guys should be worrying about the guys who handed you guys your asses in the last olympics. When guy's like Luis Scola were dominating Tim Duncan, and Dwyane Wade and Anthony were getting dominated by Delfino and Scola.

Remember when you guys (Iverson, Duncan, James, Wade, Anthony, Redd) lost to the powerhouse that is ............. LUTHUANIA!!!!!!! Led by the dominating and feirce interior play of... Darius Songalia?

I like your team this year though. J-Kidd and the paul/williams combo is nasty. Kobe Lebron and Dwight Howard big presence, and combine that with Chris Bosh and Anthony, and you got a versatile group. But as Luthuania will tell you, it comes down to heart not the players.

Canada will rock US in hockey
thats like the only sport that canada can place in
what an ignorant statement...Canada is consistently in the top ten in the winter olympics

anyone remember when Donovan Bailey won the 100m in Atlanta??? That dude's face lit up the arena! I was so happy I bought NBC's Olympic highlight film that year.

I was there! I think we watched it on the big screen at Centennial Park. There was so much hype around Bailey and Johnson.

And, Ambarish, you're definitely right about Canada in the winter Olympics.

US needs to be careful...the international game is shooter heavy and we are a little weak on the perimeter.

The US is always a Gold favorite, but we now know that teams like Argentina and Spain are legitimate contenders when real refs actually call the game (as opposed to the bullshit superstar calls in the NBA (see: kobe and lebron)

And don't forget, without Canada there would be no basketball! Show some RESPECT!
The guy was only born in Canada it was invented in the U.S. When he needed something to do with his P.E. class in the winter he invented basketball.

Or as opposed to corrupt refs (Tim Donaghy anyone?)

At least we're approaching things with less of a cocky attitude...

Agreed about the perimeter part, but I'm pretty confident that we will win because of the other players (not Kobe or Melo). Redd is one of the best shooters out there and has proven it, and Jason Kidd is still the most unselfish player in the league and still knows how to play the game. Theres a reason he is 44-0 in international play
