But when i plug it into my laptop , the computer recognizese that something is plugged in, but it does not show up in the "my computer" section where u can see ur C: Drive and D: Drive. I want to be able to open the songs from virtual dj but i cant even see the device anywhere on my computer. I know its not my usb drives they all work fine, and this problem is only on the laptop not on my desktop.

Right click on my computer and click manage. then on the left pane, click disk management. Does it show up in the bottom pane? If it does, just format it.

right click on it and click delete partition. Then right click again and click "new volume" or "new partition" (something like that). Go ahead and name it whatever and assign it whatever letter you want and leave the settings on default (probably a 4096k allocation size and NTFS file system). Click next and hit format. Wait for it to hit 100%. New working drive appears.
