***UVA di Shaan Spring 2014 Performances (1st Place at Bhangra Blowout, WBBC)***

Here are our videos from the past semester. Big thank you to Harjot for recording these videos and doing such a great job. Also wanted to give some quick thank you's to people at both comps who were so helpful.



Blowout: Big thank yous to Kush for being a dope liaison and helping out with anything and everything. Shout out to Umna for being clutch anytime I had issues or concerns. Thanks to UMD and Northwestern for letting us borrow the chimte for our mela. Bigggg thank yous to Simran for tying chaadre and Dilbagh for coming in and tying the nastiest paggan ever while tying for two other teams as well.


WBBC: VD, you the man. Awesome having you as a liaison and gettin to hang with you all weekend. Big shoutout to Jaggi, Ankush and the rest of the WBBC committee for working with us during all the tech-time mishaps and making sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to Cornell for letting us borrow kainte right before we went on stage. And of course, thank you to Barua and Karthik for tying chaadre and paggan for us.


Finally, congratulations to Cornell, JVD, CMU and Bruin for your wins/placings! It was a pleasure competing against you guys

Khunde segment from Blowout was sick! And it was badass you guy's used last year's first place Blowout trophy as a center marker! (I'm assuming that's what the trophy was.)

Blowout mix was the best of the night, sounded sick at the venue. Congrats Aditya, Bilal, Sanchay and the rest of you all for the placing!

One thing that you guys have done well the last couple years is really play to your dancers' strengths and hide their weaknesses. All collegiate teams have weaknesses and aim to do the same thing but don't do it as well as UVA.
The jugni was probably my favorite from last year but I don't think it hit as hard at Blowout (maybe because I knew it was coming?)
Anyway congrats on first place! mix was hot and you guys killed it. Hope this isn't the last time we see you dance Aditya! haha

Favorite set and mix of the night (the America theme was hot even if it wasnt WBBC), was looking forward to this all night. Loved your tweaks from burgh / blowout last year (the dil lagee turn at 2:41, second half of your jugni) - thought they added a lot to the set, especially for someone who's seen your previous performances. Also really like how y'all use the same songs for different segments in different performances. Was super hot to hear it your burgh jugni for kunde drop this time, really fresh.


Aditya & Pranav, y'all destroyed it as usual...can't wait to see where you guys go next! Congrats!!

So glad I got to see this live at Blowout. There were huge improvements even from WBBC to Blowout in terms of dancing ability, and the set changes from last semester to this were very well planned. I like the new jhummar intro although I liked last semester's choreo better, and khunde and saaps were definitely improved. The jugni from last year was probably my favorite that I've seen ever, so I'm glad you brought it back but also wish you added more of a twist to it so it would hit more. Bilal, Pranav, and Aditya you guys are amazing dancers and made this team amazing. I've said it before, but you guys are my favorite coed team out there and I love your sets - keep doing what you're doing, it was a pleasure competing against you this year

Love you guys. It was a great time being a liason for you guys. You guys killed both performances. Can't wait to see what Bilal and the rest of the crew bring next year.

Congrats on a sick performance! Shoutout to ADT and Sanchay for being sexy. I didn't get to enjoy this performance live but y'all were killing it from sidestage. The set was executed really well from top to bottom dancer along with solid formations. Gas pedal mela was fun as well.
