Does anyone know the song that starts around 3:54?? A few of the words from the main chorus (4:20ish) are something like "tenu nasha jawani da, ashiq vekh vekh ke marde."
Great song selection overall - I think your choreography really blended well with the mix. My only thing was that I thought your intro was really long (over a minute) - that's 1/8 of your entire mix! For me, your mix didn't really "start" until after the quick "lah meri bandook" transition at 1:11. I know you guys did your mela in the beginning and you needed time for all that, but in my opinion, your mix would have sounded a lot better if it went from the short sher intro up until the 0:28 mark and then transitioned well into the song at 1:13 (all of that other jazz in between was just time to execute your mela).
Like many others mentioned, I also felt the transitions were incredibly weak. A lot of times it just seems like no effort was made to be creative in the way one song flowed into the next.
A small example that I noticed was the song before 2:54 and then the wavin' flag song after 2:54 - there really is no "transition" there. All I heard was a fade out "boom" (bass drop) and then wavin' flag start.
If you listen to some really well done mixes, it's so amazing how the mix "flows" - sometimes it's hard to tell where one song ends & the next begins. The songs all sound so well blended that you pay less attention to transitions and more to enjoying the music. An example that I can think off the top of my head is 2ynce's "On My Own Billo" mix:
2 NyCe - Proximity Effect (6) - On My Own Billo
When I was listening to your mix, I really loved each individual songs, but when the song was about to end.. I would cringe as next song came on. Maybe your transitions are just a bit too "basic" for me to really enjoy your mix in its entirety.
Not trying to hate or put down your mixer, so please don't take my feedback the wrong way. This is just my two cents.
