Virsa Junior Bhangra Competition Results

As a seasoned bhangra dancer myself, I thought I had the experience and the physical strength, along with the rest of me team, to at least provide some sort of stand against the Canadian horde.
I've never been so wrong in my life
Each team from Canada displayed such expertise that it was more of a humiliating experience than an enriching one for me-as I was given a year's supply worth of ownage on a golden platter in a single hour watching them dance.
PCBCA was absolutely amazing to watch though. I've never seen such constant energy in such a high concentration for such a prolonged period of time.
Shan-E-Punjab was particularly painful to watch because I was essentially being schooled by kids who aren't even potty-trained yet. Someone please tell me when they have try-outs, I'll be the first to sign up.
What I learned from the Virsa Competition was that only US teams should be allowed to compete in US competitions. Something is in the water in Canada...maybe they have Bhangra Juice there or something. Regardless, they're too good to compete against their southern counterparts.
The team from Washington also did extremely well. I hope they never compete in any competition that I'm in (same goes for you Canadians).

I swear...they have some sort of geographical advantage. I bet in Canadian competitions they must be like, "8 American Teams are coming, no sweat."

Damn you, Canadians, damn you.

Now that I am finally awake and somewhat recovered here's my little inside scoop on the show...first off BIG BIG thanks for all those that came through especially all the 11 teams we had... I believe this was one of the sickest line ups in the history of Jr. Bhangra and a totally USA v. Canada comp in which CANADA totally ruled us hahah (official results r at the bottom)...nonetheless one of the greatest experience of my life and so good to finally see all the teams, coaches, assistants, team moms, etc. after talking to them over the phone for months!! i am not gonna write about the show since i was not able to c the execution of it at all soo u guys who were in the audience plz feel free to give us any comments.

Special Shout Outs:
Akhil and Geetika- u guys totally rocked!!! I am soo glad you guys were able to help in the backstage with all the chaos and medical emergencies. Akhil thanks for helping my sis after you were done with me... you guys were a great team to work with.

TJ & Jimmy- i seriously believe we have developed a love/hate relationship (more love than hate though ) after all the arguments, late nights, running around, lack of sleep, enormous amount of stress, quality time being spent with each other, coming closer, taking care of me the weekend of the show after i started feeling like shit and was basically dying on the bed, etc. etc. u know i love u guys even though i wanna kill u both half the time.

Sumi-even though u were not at the show, which i still think u should have been at, thanks for getting a bomb ass deal on the hotel... it was the perfect location and i think most of the teams enjoyed their stay there

Jason and the PCBCA Boys-i heard u guys ripped the stage sorry i was not able to c any of the performance so i cant say anything however, CONGRATS ON 2ND PLACE!!! and thanks for almost breaking my door while knocking just an hour after i passed out, making me feel that there's an earthquake and im gonna die haha but it was really sweet of u guys to say bye before u guys left much love.... muahzzzzz ... come back to LA soon!!!

PCC-all the 3 teams... if there was a most efficient team award i would totally give it to u guys... u guys were the easiest team to handle and followed all the rules so well and thoroughly. it really helped us start the tech time right and have everything in control. Monti, Sim and Daman u guys r the coolest coaches out there... i know the PCC parents r not reading this but if u guys can please pass on a message to them it would be great. I sincerely and truly thank each and everyone of them from the bottom of my heart... all the blessings i received from them was one of the greatest feelings on earth and completely and totally made my day, week, month, year!!! it seriously overruled all the other things that went wrong and made me feel so much more loved.

Shan-e-Punjab-OMG the cutest kids i have ever seen... once again got to c only a part of their performance through the side stage, but i heard the crowd totally go crazyy!!! i cant wait to c the video of those guys... and totally loved the 8 year old kid who noticed i was not wearing my glasses at the actual show and thinks i should wear it... he was soo adorable ... special shout outs to pindha uncle and the grandfather once again for all their blessings...totally put me on 7th heaven

all in all one of the best experience's of my life. not saying everything was perfect because a lot of things go wrong during a competition, but it is definitely one i would hold close to my heart and have great attachments to it... once again thanks to all the teams that came through, Canada and USA, hope ur stay here was memorable and u guys would come back very very soon, all the aunties and uncles thank you for ur support and ur love.
