Yes Sahab I am sure you probably haven't just like I haven't heard a liaision bashing the organizer because the team they wanted to win didn't win that night. It OK a lot of things happens for the first time. Any team that would have won that night whether that is AEG, Furteelay, Shan E, DCMPAA and everyone else I would have been just as happy as I am for Virsa because we all have a great relation that is beyond the competition. Placing at a competition I am organizing can't change anything because I know the next time I see any of these guys we will meet up like brothers.

Congrats on the placing! Seems like teams brought their A game this past weekend which is awesome.

I have to say though the fact that this placed made me question a lot of things about the necessity of uniformity. This discussion has been had many times here, but at what point should dancers just be allowed to have free reign on stage? For example, the red jodi here, while phenomenal in terms of their nakreh and style, looked COMPLETELY different from everyone else on stage. Should dancers aim to look uniform, or should people be allowed to shine on stage? I thought the whole point of cleaning a routine anyway is to make dancers look more uniform, and it almost devalues the work that's put into that if someone can place where each dancer is doing their own thing.

That's a side note, I thought the routine was kind of sloppy IMO, especially in terms of formations (ie. 7:20-7:23) , but the energy was through the roof. Red Jodi was the highlight for me, watched them for most of the routine. Also was a big fan of the jhoomer. All in all, I think every team brought it from different angles, I can imagine why the judging was so difficult. Congrats again to Virsa!

Good set but not a great set. To come out on top of a line-up this stacked I was expecting a bit more to be honest. Nonetheless, nice to have you guys back on the circuit.

Touching on was nkrishnan asked about uniformity, I personally don't mind it when teams sacrifice dancing in complete sync for individual nakhra and swagger in their moves. Looking at shan-e-punjab, khalsa junction, sgpd, UBC sets from 5-7 years ago there was a lot more emphasis put on nakhra and dancing freely and to me it allows the teams to make more of a connection with the audience and it even comes across on youtube vids.
