The World's Best Bhangra Crew committee is excited to announce our first match-up as well our first two judges. WBBC's no. 1 goal is to give the circuit what it wants. Let us know who you think should matchup 1-1 on April 6, 2012 at the Bergen County Academies Auditorium in Hackensack, NJ. Your feedback will not go unnoticed, and we will try our best to mirror the circuit's overall sentiments.
Teams are picked on the basis of their present rivalries as well as their style categories. There is no quota for any one type of team (i.e., all-male, all-female, collegiate, etc.) We want to pick the 6 best match-ups we can find. Match-ups will continue to be announced through January.
We have also attached our judging rubric. For more detail regarding judging please see our 1 page background document, which we have also attached. Like the teams, judges are on an invite-only basis. We will announce four more judges in the coming weeks.
Our next match-up announcement will be on Thanksgiving. We apologize for the delay in this video, but we were completely wiped out by Sandy for a couple of days, which led to this delay.
