DJ1: Straight to the dhol with vocals..that dhol sounds legit. The whole chill feeling was nice.

DJ2: Fast paced song something NJ would use.

Both mixes were good in their own way. I enjoyed the DJ1 more.

These were both very nice to listen to. Very enjoyable, so thanks guys! Great job! My ears appreciate your skills.

I really dig the concept of mix1 and its feel. I can definitely just sit, relax and listen to it. Really cool. Mix2 had a deeper, faster vibe with really nice bass (0:22-0:30 was awesome!). For me, this is the toughest to judge to date. So this is going just by dance; I danced to both and the one I felt better able to dance to I chose as the winner.

So I'm sure that I don't need to mention how talented each of these mixers are, but I have most of their "collaborations" on my ipod because I feel they do a kickass job and devote a lot of time into each mix they do together. Having said that.. I knew seeing these two off in the ladder would be epic and I can tell that it definitely pushed them!

My vote: DJ 1

Feedback:

DJ 1 - I liked that you immediately used the background tune of "Jawani" and decided to buildup hype using other effects. After the "here we go" clip, I enjoyed hearing some dhol loops with those "hai hai" sounds that were timed so well. I personally could have gone for a little more bass starting at 0:23, but I assume you were trying to prevent it from over powering the vocals & your other effects. I felt you could have done a little more to "jazz up" your mix because from 0:23-0:50; it felt a little mundane. My favorite part was the "change up" that you did at 0:52 - a beautiful clip used and the way that you made that fit into the mix was splendid. A very classy ending as well! Great work.

DJ 2 - Honestly, I wasn't really feeling the electric guitar type of sound used for your intro. I thought the transition from 0:08-0:11 was nicely done though. There were too much "basic" or "beginner" level effects used in your mix. I liked the subtle sounds you used in the background of the main vocals from 0:22-0:29. I thought the transition from the male singing to the female singing :)40ish onwards) was quite clean and well done. I felt that main background effect you used (which I've heard several times before) which starts at 0:11 in your mix was used way too much - I thought you should have brought in something else or used a bit more creativity. You ending was great.

P.S. - Great song choice mods - I agree that it's incredibly tough to mix this song into a proper bhangra segment.

This song is such a bitch to mix!

Both djs did well, even though I liked dj 1s creativity more I would have to pick dj2. imo a mix of this song definitely needs to have that grime element in it and dj2 was able to figure that out whereas dj1 took a more pop approach which doesn't really click with a song like jawani
