Dj 1 - love the tom's diner sample! thought the volume for it was a bit loud and coudlve been eq'd better but still great addition.

Dj 2 - really interesting concept! Some out of the box stuff here. Thought the panning and EQ was on point, ending was a bit abrupt.

I thought both of these were done really well but I'm gonna go with DJ 2 for fundamentally changing the song a bit more than 1, though this was hard

Mix1 had an incredible concept. It wasn't executed quite properly, but with some cleanup it would've taken my vote.
Mix2 was very clean. Enjoyable to listen to and overall fresh.

Both mixers did a good job, I think.

Vote: Mix2

My vote: DJ 1

Feedback:

DJ 1 - Simple buildup, but excellent concept used for the beginning of the mix. Using Tom Diner's was a very unique idea. There was seemless transition into the main vocals of "Ek Dil" at 0:28. I love that you stressed the original song's vocals and kept Balwinder Safri's the main focus. I also love that you subtlety brought back the Tom Diner's beat starting at 0:51sh. Unfortunately I felt your outro was too long from 1:11 until the end of your mix, I would loved to hear Balwinder Safri's return and finish off the mix in a clean manner. You used a little too much time for your intro (0:27) and I felt you could have "gotten to the point" quicker - with a reduction you could have easily thrown in another verse and really made this mix standout a lot. Nice job overall.

DJ 2 - While I like mixers to jump into their songs right now, your mix really didn't provide much of an intro. I wish you would have used the first 10 seconds to come up with something more creative. That being said, your light snare drums sounds and the bass you added in after 0:11 seconds was well matched in beats. I really wish you would have brought out Safri's vocals out more in the later half of the mix - for example, after that doppler effect/panned the vocals at 0:20-0:23, I would have lifted the vocals out at the word "soniye." That would have made your mix sound a lot more dynamic. I like that you tried to make this really slow sound more of a "dance"/fast paced tracked (without really altering the bpm of the vocals). That's evident from 0:25 to the end of your mix. I enjoyed that concept. Nice work.

Overall - wow, I have to give it up to both DJ's for really being creative and putting out clean mixes. I honestly enjoyed them both in their own unique ways. It was tough to pick a winner because both were so different and each brought a unique concept. DJ 1 has a slight edge for me because he had a proper intro (although too long imho) + really unique mashup with Tom's Diner that was more "risky" but paid off + a great outro. Keep it up guys!
