Reason: DJ 2 took the easy way out
Care to explain ? I think that DJ 1 took the easy way out by using an instrumental where as Dj 2 had some amazing production in his mix

My Vote: DJ 2

Feedback:

DJ 1 - The first 6 seconds of your opening was a straight copy of the original song (unchanged) - I would have liked something more creative/unique at the beginning. You did add some faint snare drums & a vinyl rewind effect starting at 7-8 seconds which provided a clean transition into the next segment. I liked the instrumental and other effects used from 0:08-0:20. I'm glad you didn't overpower the the vocals during this intro segment because I felt that could have easily been done. I heard another instrumental added in at 0:35 seconds. My favorite part of your mix was the main lyrics that kicked in from 0:43 and repeated until 1:04. I liked the background effects used while you had the chorus repeating and the rap lyrics fit in so well. Overall, that sounded extremely well done and professional quality to me. The segment from 1:04-1:28 just sounded "okay" to me - maybe because it was too simple. I liked that your brought the same instrumental from the beginning back after this point though. I would used one simple & clear "roar" at 1:37 instead of repeating two - it made it sound really weird. I wish you would have ended the mix a little stronger than just adding in a bunch of "hoi's" at the end like you did earlier. I did really like the "repeating" sound effect using from 1:48-1:51 and from 1:54-1:55 though. Your outro was clean and simple. Nice job on the mix.

DJ 2 - I really liked that you sped up the vocals and really distinguished yourself with your creative intro. I loved the "Ahh, made you look" sound clip used at the beginning. While the enjoyed the snare drums that you used in combination with the increased bpm's of the original song, it started to sound a bit overdone to me after listening to it for about 30 seconds. Don't get me wrong, it was added in nicely and very nicely pitch matched, but I really wish you would have changed things up after a bit. Your effects that you used while you had the snare drums going were great. An excellent time to transition to something different and give the user not so much of a static sound would have been at 0:44 after your cool "skipping"/repeating effect. I liked the "heart beat" type of drum sounds from 1:05-1:12, although I would you would repeated them for a 3rd time (notice there being only two "peaks" during the timing marks). I really liked the hype created from 1:28-1:37 with the tempo picking up even further and the nicely timed looped effects used - that was probably my favorite part. Well done on the mix overall. I would liked to have heard a bit more variation in the 2 minutes, so just some advice for next time.

I really enjoyed both mixes greatly. They are both very unique and I agree with himynameis that neither took an "easy way out" of this challenge. When you're competing for the 1st and 2nd spot in the mixing ladder on the FINAL challenge for the season, I doubt either of these DJ's would simply say "let me just take it easy this time around." In the end, I gave the win to DJ 2 because I felt the track created more hype and could see the track being used as a bhangra team's finale segment a lot more.

Awesome song choice by the mixing mods. It felt really went with the theme and left room for creativity to be used by DJ's.
