I had the Bose earpohones and they lead a lot to be desired to be honest, and they build is really shoddy. It is a problem when you listen to really high fidelity music, but most people listen to mp3s and won't be able to discern any difference because either their ears suck because of loud music all the time or the encoding stripping a lot of information.

This is my territory! lol. If you're looking for crisp clear sounds then I'd say go with the Shures..a good starter headset in the Shure family are the 210's and they're about $150. Once you start getting in the higher Shures you obviously get more. The 310's are going to give you good base. The 420s are going to give you 4 speakers (two in each ear) and the 530s are going to give you 6 speakers (3 in each ear) if you want something with a little bit more base then I'd say get teh Monster Turbines. The beats are good but I'd recommend getting the over the ear not the in the ear. Skullcanides or even the creatives are good if you're not going to use them a lot. Skullcandies are usually about $30 and the creatives are $50

I have Shure SCL4s and they're awesome, I highly recommend them. They're pretty expensive unless you see em on sale online (which I did.. I can't imagine spending $150 on headphones as a casual listener). The SCL3s are similar and less expensive, too.

regardless of what you want, i highly suggest searching for your item with the word 'new' in your search. direct buyers sell headphones for way too cheap.
