What to do after gigs?

Do you guys stay and dance for the whole party? or just perform, get some food, dance for just a little bit and bounce?

My opinion: I feel like its a family gathering (wedding reception) and random bhangra kids have no place crashing the dance floor. I mean its okay to go dance for like half an hour. But I think its rude to stay longer than that and just taking over the dance floor, because you are kind of taking space away from the family who paid for the place to celebrate with their OWN family.

I know a lot of teams do stay after gigs and enjoy the party, so I am not sure.
Seems like leaving early would look more professional and earn you more gigs in the long run. What do you guys think?

Depends on how well you know the people at the wedding...usually if we know people there then we take couple of shots with em and chill for a bit otherwise we leave almost right away

personally i like to get there a good 45 minutes to an hour before i know we're going to perform

then i get some appetizers - as well as the rest of the team

we go on perform

change and eat some food...and if there is open bar and the uncles are inviting us there....well then :)

last gig i did, the guy wasn't going to pay us even after we performed because, hes said do another routine, how we gonna pull another routine out of our ass?!, we ended up dancing for about 2 hours non stop, so different situations, different outcomes

Haha Tejpal ;)

But it all depends on how well you know the people.

Last gig we did, the person getting married was related to one our dancers. So we preety much chilled their before the party got ready and stuff, and afterwards ate dinner and danced through out the night on the side.

But I agree with most of the people above lol

get ur peggs on before and after the show lol..but usualy we just do our dance eat and drink all backstage or off to the side...ur brought there to do ur performance not to crash a wedding so do what u came to do and keep the rest of it off the dance floor and let guests enjoy the party..b sure to do major damage to the bar tho lolz
