What to do with Modem? Help:)

My old desktop computer has some next crazy virus on it and is useless , i wanna get it out of my room. But i need wifi for my laptop and ps3, where do i hook up the router and modem? The only reason ive kept the box thing is for internet, any solution to this? or do i have to keep the desktop computer just for my modem?

you can keep them exactly where they are ... just take the ethernet cable out of your comp. shouldnt affect anything. you dont need a computer to make your internet work.
