Here are some stats
Last Season
Dwight: 20.6 pts, 14.5 rbs, 1.9 asts, 1.5 stls, 2.2 blcks, 57% FG, and 2.2 TO in 54 games
Bynum: 18.7 pts, 11.8 rbs, 1.4 asts, 0.4 stls, 1.9 bcks, 56% FG, and 1.56 TO in 60 games
It would be unfair to compare stats from this season because Bynum has not played one game this season, but even then Dwight with the injury to his back, still had better numbers
Dwight this season: 17.1 pts, 12.4 rbs, 1.4 asts, 1.1 stls, 2.4 blcks, and 2.95 TO in 75 games.
If you compare Dwight's injury filled season compared to Bynum's best season so far, Dwight is still the obvious choice.
It is unfair to compare career averages however because Dwight has always been the superstar starting from his rookie year, compared to Bynum who only played 46 games his first season and only scored 1.6 pts per game for example, on the bright side Bynum's stats did increase every year as he got used to the game more, but so has Howard's. Also Howard is way more athletic.
Personality wise I would say Dwight as well, he may be considered a cry baby, and coward for whatever happened with the Orlando situation, but I still say he's better than Bynum's motivation for the game has always been poor, he thought he was too great for Kareem Abdul Jabbar's training, he shot stupid three pointers during close games and etc.
One argument however in favour of Bynum would be his huge arsenal of post moves, he has way more skills as a big man compared to Dwight Howard who relies more on his athleticism, but now that Dwight is on the Lakers, I think he will use the training he receives from big men like Kareem to his full advantage for the upcoming seasons if he re - signs, which I think is most likely to happen.
In conclusion I'm basically trying to get at the point that Howard is better than Bynum as of right now, and there is a possibilty that Bynum could get better in the future but I highly doubt it, he's highly unmotivated, out of shape and injury prone.
