Wolverine Bhangra at Notorious Bhangra

[akumgill]

I'll hopefully get around to posting a review sometime soon but we all had a funntastic time at the competition. All of the liasons were incredibly helpful and made Notorious my favorite competition experience yet. Special thanks to Hardeep for recording this; our liasons Satnaam, Afsheen, Harpreet; Ranjeet and Preet from BK/Cobra for helping with chadras and phumans; and Charan from VDW for tying our paghs.

I'll post the rest of my thoughts later, but here is our video courtesy of Hardeep: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ya7OUVCUx80π

First, big props just for being a collegiate team and competing in the summer. Not sure how many of you dance with the team during the year but either way that's sick and I'm jealous.

I think you guys did a good job of making a challenging set that everyone on your team was able to execute well. Each segment has some sort of hitting/cute/something factor that makes it pop a little and keeps people engaged. Specifically for me, mixed props and jhummar were hot and i really liked jodiyan.

If you're going to do a longer, harder saap segment, just make sure everyone can do it fully through all out, extending, etc, but overall i enjoyed it a lot. Congrats on the placing and throw up another view if you get a chance!

We had 7 people who competed with Wolverine during the year and 5 other fantastic dancers who jumped in for us
Red jodi: Gurjeet(WB) and Kiran(ASD)
Black jodi: Gary(WB) and Reena(ASD)
Turquoise jodi: Jaspreet and Jasleen(both WB)
Green jodi: Gsimz(FS) and Ashna(ASD)
Purple jodi: Suraj and Malika(both WB)
Pink jodi: Akum(WB) and Upahvan(MBT)

throw up another view if you get a chance!

Yeah real talk. We had Harpeet (one of our liasons/one of the nicest people ever) record for us but unfortunately that was the same angle. I'm uploading that in the background right now actually. If anyone else has a video of us, feel free to post it. Give me a heads up too because I'm super curious. GTV was there also so we have those videos to look forward to

P.S. Post the mix! Like today, preferably even now?

I will do my very best to post the mix before the end of the day today. I actually don't have the final mix on me right now and I don't want to do Gsimz injustice by posting a rough mix.

Big shout out to Wolverine Bhangra! It was a pleasure being your liaison and I couldn't ask for a better team. From working with you guys through out the weekend, busting missions, kicking it at the hotel, jammin' in my car to the subs knockin', breaking it down at the after party, the weekend was totally epic. I hope I did my job above and beyond your expectations! To future comps who do host Wolverine Bhangra, this team is hands down one of the most respectful and welcoming teams to liaison/help out. Definitely made me feel like a part of the family, looking forward to you guys returning next season Congratulations again on taking 2nd place, you guys tore up that stage and deserve that spot if not better 8)

Much love to auntyji Akum, she made some bombbb paratha, home made achar and chutney man I can't wait until we all reunite haha. Thanks for your hospitality.

The black and red jodis ripped that stage, shout out to Kiran and Reena!! Duck duck goose was mad creative and I loved the song selection. Overall I feel like this routine could have been a slight bit cleaner and a tad more energetic, some dancers seemed to slack when they weren't in the front. Big ups to the green jodi and GSIMZ!!!! Afterparty was fun bro
