yo jasraj, we (gajjde gabroo) lost points at AVAP for having a sarangi player (for the same reason you said - it wasnt a "folk" instrument)...while i agreed with the judges' viewpoint that it wasnt "folk", it is still clearly a bhangra instrument and i didnt really agree that points should be...
