about dagga side that has masala side:
You'll need:
Spoon (that you'll never use again)
Newspaper on the ground to prevent getting the floor dirty
Steps:
1. unscrew all the hooks(not sockets) and take your tilli head off
2. roll up your sleeve(if you have one) and grab the spoon...
I'm not so sure, but male goatskin is used for dagga side and female goatskin is used for tilli side, it's just one difference due to thickness of goatskin, correct me if i'm wrong :S
thank you so very much moninder :)
i'm about to say that you can also cross-roped on 10 lugs but first: cut the rope in half before you can cross-rope(i can't explain how)(it's up to you)
if oiling and masala stinks like hell, what happened if i use air freshener(homemade or commercial...
Thanks homie :) I'll plan it out later sand it down in the future, I'm just playing for fun and ya I needed alot of practice, lol
I wish that this is a taali dhol instead of amb dhol, lol
Sure thing bro :) I'm thinking and planning to re rope my dhol by tightening towards the dagga(later on, in the future) and which special bolt back? the rear/internal washer or something?
That was before when I sold my previous amb dhol, now I got a same amb dhol at Madhvi Musical & Pooja Centre, but the difference is: mixture of brown and red colour(I don't think there's masala inside of the wood), GBC Super Deluxe(Black Transparent), 23" exactly, 13.2" GBC, approximately 13"...
Coolio :) so for exterior(outside or outer) how do i sand it down? after that, how do i apply mustard oil and how many coatings? and for the inside, how do i apply masala? which ingredients? how many coatings?
I guess off topic by the way, lol
Ya, plastic tillis can have a round, and odd shaped ball at the top that looked like oval and/or sphere. Bamboo tillis is almost straight sometimes, with grip for both dagga and tilli can have round and odd shaped ball too :)
Any kinds of desi drumheads (either brand or no brand) would sound good if it's thin like 5mm or 7 mm, and I wish that remo clear diplomat should sound like sharp and loud sound like GBC and/or MR due to a 7.5 mil
Any comparison between GBC, GBC Deluxe, or GBC Super Deluxe, either gray...
Has anybody heard Remo Skyntone before?
http://www.remo.com/portal/products/3/8/752/ds_skyntone.html
I hope it sounds like traditional animal skin on both dagga and tilli sides because I never used it before, maybe it looks new? I'm not so sure
(@Dholi harsh) amb dhols just got fucked up the sound with paint, big time, probably any type of sheesham like raw and/or ripe is the best way to go(i recommended *kaali taali* though)
(@monisingh) you're pretty lucky that your bhangra dhols sounded sick (raw and/or ripe sheesham wood) :)
