Thanks for the share @HdBrar. This competition looks so unreal. I don't think anything we have in North America compares. It seems to only get better each passing year as well. I would love to attend one day. I hope it's an amazing time for teams!
~Basim :)
Thank you both @JimmyJatt463 @GSingh
This helps non-Punjabi speakers (and even those Punjabi speakers who don't know each & every word) to pick up on words and put some context behind the songs. Even the attempt was great, you can pick up so much.
I am sure this will be huge help for @djjag

Super stacked lineup. Agree with @Gsimz, very hard to predict winners.
Here are my top picks:
1. SPD [if judges prefer a more traditional set, otherwise swap the teams in 2nd for 1st]
2. FAUJ/FCB
3. UNC/CAL
Great effort Naachi Di Cleveland committee. Unfortunately it is wayyyy too choppy for most people to enjoy :( I think the broadband (upload speed specifically) might not be the best at the venue.

Good stuff KironMizanur. Enjoyed the variation of pace of the mix you threw in. Thanks for sharing.
Hi friend - all works well. I noticed some mixes take a few seconds longer to load. Maybe it might be your browser? What are you using? Have you tried it on a different PC? I believe the new...
I meant to sticky this topic because I believe it's an immense resource for both new and old teams alike.
Great suggestions/feedback Sue - I hope the developers circle back (no pun intended) over to BTF to read these comments. I put up a comment on their facebook page as a reminder.
~ Basim :)
G'luck to you and your new team homie! Please have someone record it. I would love to check it out - unfortunately most networks don't show things like half-time shows :(
It's always amazing for bhangra to exposed to new audiences.

Hi friend. Perhaps your meant to write something like "a diamond in the rough" rather than "dime-a-dozen." That would make your sentence more cohesive.
I think most understood your intentions though.

I hate to butt in to all the great commentary, ideas, and reactions that people old & new to BTF have about this competition (and the circuit as a whole)... this topic has had some great humor and shocking things mentioned.. but just to clarify two things...
BhangraTeamsForum (BTF) has nothing...
Nice, easy to follow post. I'm really like the idea behind this initiative! Thanks for posting this Mithu.
Hadn't had a chance to go through your first weekly tip until now, but some suggestions are below..
My first suggestion would be to post "understanding this concept" (i.e. EQ) videos that...
Nice mix bro. A very mellow sound with smooth transitions. Totally changes the original song. The instrumental at 1:40 was a very nice touch and blended well with the entire mix.
My favorite mix of this song is by DJ Frenzy, but your mix has a totally different vibe to it. Thanks for sharing...
So THIS is why all those Cali teams keep wining... the secret is out!
On the real though, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Where have you been all my life Rohan?!?! I'm sure most of veterans have suffered from trying to manage this on papers, sticky notes, napkins, etc.. all while using the X's and...
If this is for a competition, hit up Union of Bhangra Judges (UBJ) to see if their large team of judges can help: http://bhangrateamsforum.com/a/threads/launch-union-of-bhangra-judges.28482/
All the best,
~ Basim :)
I think you hit the nail on the head and that's key with this initiative. I wouldn't want the UBJ committee to dictate how to judge a certain performance or to force a committee to align with a certain "official UBJ rubric," but having all judges, competitions, etc agree to have transparency is...
