+1 - Major respect to DCMPAA for handling this situation (the delay of the saaps) so quickly and professionally. I hope you get your saaps in good condition & are satisfied with them asd39. It would be great if you could post a quick (1-2 line) followup on this thread after you get the...

Even though this is a pain to do, I'm posting the relevant posts from the shoutbox in chronological order for those that missed the initial posts/wanted to read them. Please continue this discussion here :) In the future, let's try to discuss such topics on the forum so that others who don't...

This is great. Thank you sharing mrdholi! ~ Basim :)

First off, welcome to BTF Aman-Singh :) Glad you've become active on the forums. Hope it continues my friend. I was just waiting for a topic like this to spring up.. I honestly don't feel this is a way to make a direct comparison because there are so many factors that are different between the...

Definitely feel the summer time is the "off season" for the bhangra circuit (at least here in NA). Would be great to have at least one major competition.. maybe for the private/non-university affiliated teams? The late summer/early fall is also a great time to earn some $$$ for doing paid gigs...

This new is so sad to hear Nikhil. Another great mixer leaving us :( I always loved to hear what you put out and the creativity that you used. Most of all, your mixes sounded quite clean (i.e. transitions didn't sound "forced"), which means to me that you really worked hard on them. This...

Re: First Class Bhangra @ Elite 8 2015 + Mix AIRPLANE KAATOS! Didn't expect to see that anytime soon, lol. Checked out this video over my lunch break. Absolutely amazing performance and a treat to watch on youtube. I can't even imagine how insane it must have been in the Lisner auditorium...

Congrats to all teams and respect to the #WBBC committee for always pushing the boundaries with competitions! The win by JVD is excellent for the UK bhangra scene as well. The win this year is not surprising considering they wow'ed so many people last year as well. Hopefully this will allow...

Yet another nasty mix Jason. So many throwbacks from 2:00-6:48. A lot of creativity there and it sounded awesome imo. Thanks for sharing here, ~ Basim :)

Your singer was a treat to hear. Jasraj did great job on dhol. Dancers did an excellent job in terms of execution, maintaining consistency in dancing style overall, and energy. For a live performance, I enjoyed the choice of classic boliyan.. the choreography fit really well.. and you guys did...

Congrats on SEPBC's first competition as a team. Look forward to seeing you guys improve. Ty for the quick video. If you happen to get a higher quality video, please post it up in the original post! The current 240p video is painful to watch, lol. ~ Basim :)

Correct. That's most likely why you couldn't upload it directly Jaideep. Regardless, thanks for helping! ~ Basim :)

Hi Sparsh. Welcome to BTF. I have this thread bookmarked that my buddy Arjun B put together many years ago: http://bhangrateamsforum.com/discuss/main-bhangra-discussion/basic-bhangra-presentation-(framework)/msg28052/ It should help you out a lot or anyone that's fairly new. There is actually...

Thank you for taking the time to post this up Sid! Amazingly detailed and well put together. Would love to read more reviews - either from those that attended the show or dancers. By the way, did Ram practice dhol with your team a lot to where he just knew the beats for the songs you used...

Thank you for detailed review of the competition Sonny! This always helps teams, organizing committees, and gives bhangra fans a perspective of what it was like. Really wanted to make it down to R2B2 this year to support the teams & competition, but unfortunately I had other priorities (growing...

Going for my hometown favorite ACB! 3-peat? Make it happen ya'll! ;D ~ Basim :)

We have these two topics stickied/pinned in the "Bhangra Mixes and Music" section: http://bhangrateamsforum.com/discuss/bhangra-mixes-and-music/nypd-bhangra-and-6'8-music-proudly-present-folk-loops-sounds-from-punjab/...

Great topic and good discussion thus far. I don't mind offering some quick feedback on BTF (when I have the time), but a lot of the mixes just sound so much of the "same." Maybe that's part of the reason why people may hesitate to share their loops/samples/etc as much as mentioned by the OP...

Great job Kiron! Especially considering the fact that you just started mixing - you have lots of potential ;) Black & Yellow is a bit old school and the I've heard it mixed a ton - either the full song or looping the main beat in the background within a mix. This is a good start and I would be...

Hi Dollar Cheema - welcome to BTF. So what exactly are you looking for you? English doesn't seem like your first language, so it's a bit hard to decipher your message. Are you looking to dance for a bhangra team in the Vancouver area? Are you looking to sing for a bhangra team in the...
