Hi Ampal - Nothing with removed from this topic besides some spamming with fake accounts that occurred. Regarding Ankush's post, are you sure that you didn't mean this post in the Alamo City Bhangra performance topic? Hope that helps, ~ Basim :)

Dang, I still remember this like it was yesterday! :P NJ killed it here and I loved their performance in 2004 as Bhangra Nation in Ontario even more. Song selection was sick. Still ones of my favorite sets by them until this day. #oldschoolbhangra Ty for sharing these golden videos Satti, ~...

Hi Yesh - I am sorry that your dancers feel this way. Why don't you get one of your dancers to start a topic specifically for new dancers.. and request only newer dancers post in it.. they can even throw up a few videos in the topic & critique them as a group. Honestly, there really is no way...

Congrats to all teams accepted. Looks like a great lineup, especially from the collegiate scene. +1 Good post that should be read over by newer teams as well. In the past, I've known about very well established teams getting rejected from comps & while it's extremely frustrating - remember...

Saleem is your man; I'm just a minion ;) Miss Guardians! Kush, stop being worthless with that doctor life and revive Guardians already! :P I used to know to a few members of an independent co-ed team called Phulorida Bhangra based in that area.. they rocked the scene in the mid 2000's, but...

Hmmm.. could it be Premi Jassi - Hun Jago Aiya? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KDvoiYXe1c Those are my only ones that I am familiar with. G'luck with the search, ~ Basim :)

Malkit Singh - Jago Aaya https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9fhVz7ae0U 5:53 in the above video are the lyrics you wrote. Several high quality copies of the song can be found in the Media Center. Hope this helps, ~ Basim :)

Hi friends, Considering that most of the people that posted on this "fire missing from the circuit" topic are veterans is the underlying issue to me. I, personally, have tried to help newer teams get started in the circuit and have always encouraged new competitions that spring up to give an...

Thank you to the organizers for hosting such a competition. This is a huge step in the right direction since there are a lack of competitions that take in teams that are younger (besides the few junior comps that have sprung up recently). Would love to see more of these type of events AND...

Great advice Upahvan! Welcome to BTF riya. In addition to competitions, perhaps see if your team can get some stage time at local talent shows, fundraisers, charity events, etc. Building up that confidence, testing our your team's endurance, and recording your team's performance can go a long...

I had forgot how solid this lineup is. Really this could go in so many different ways depending on judging and what kind of sets these teams decide to bring. I'll go with: 1. Xtreme 2. V:OT 3. DRP Good luck to all teams competing. This should be an amazing event! ~ Basim :) P.S. - welcome...

Thanks for putting that video together Mariam; as angeblah mentioned, it's spot on. A lot of great input have been given in this topic already. I would just add the importance of making sure your team properly stretches their muscles before & AFTER (cooling down, post exercise) when performing...

Great performance ladies. This is an excellent debut performance and a start to, hopefully, a long career for you all! It's always nice to see all female squads take the stage and showcase unique elements to the dance/provide their own twist on moves. Stamina is an obvious factor, which...

I'm diggin the top multicolored vardiyan! Either one would be great for new & upcoming competitive teams.. or even a group of friends doing local gigs/events. These should sell fast. Good luck with the sale Saranga. ~ Basim :) P.S. - Small advice: Since this is a public forum, I would edit...

The original song is sick so way to pick a great track! Your mix isn't too bad either. The bass frequencies are a tad high for me; I tend to prefer vocal being brought out more. Overall, the mix got repetitive to me. The crazy amount of high hats was a little annoying. It would have been great...

Thanks for sharing the results with us Raminder. I added the results to our Competition Listing Calendar. Congrats to all teams that had an opportunity to compete at Idols and a special congrats to the placing teams. This was a big battle amongst the Candian teams. I wish that I knew that the...

haha! I can totally see the resemblance there :) I need me some Yankee style pagg lessons too! ~ Basim :)

Hi friends, I had came across this on fb the other day, but got too busy to post. Introducing "Funjabi Bhangra Hong Kong (HK)" UK.. Australia.. SE Asia scene to explode next? Who knows?? lol. ~ Basim :)

Nice mix Rohan! Really enjoyed the song selection. A nice combination of some older classic bhangra hits with newer songs. Respect for giving credit where it's due too! The transitions could have used a little work & possibly varying the vocals a bit to make certain parts stand out more. I...
