Hi Jasnoor98, welcome to BTF. Everyone you mentioned is a pretty good mixer, except maybe Aka$h who just started mixing two months ago on VirtualDJ :P Jk! I get to mess with him since I know he's active on BTF and will probably read this, lol. Jokes aside though, here is a good topic that...

2 days before the competition? Wow, that blows big time. I sincerely hope that they not only refund all teams ASAP but publicly post the details of what went wrong so last minute. Usually when you deal with a university, you're given all the information you need ahead of time (in terms of...

:o VAATTT? Nice joke. At each of their primes, Bhangra Knights & AEG.. West Coast & East Coast collabo. Good topic btw, ~ Basim :)

Dang, that's one amazing discovery journey :P Thanks for sharing your progress and for sharing the song name. It's probably going to be hard to get a mp3 of the original song, right? Or is it available for purchase somewhere? Congrats again on finding an ultra rare/old school song, ~ Basim :)

Holy moly - 3 hours! :-O Skimmed it and, as always, really enjoy listening to your mashups Abhi, nice work. Great EDM song selections. This will make work go by faster ;) Ty for sharing, ~ Basim :)

Thank you Saab for getting a thread up with this information! As easy as it is using the shoutbox, I always encourage people to post up a topic since as we all know, the shoutbox posts disappear and we always have topics to search in case anyone down the road wants to look up...

Welcome to BTF Nadya, While we don't have all the founding dates, there are several teams from across North America listed in the CTL (Competition & Teams Listing): http://bhangrateamsforum.com/ctl/index.php?page=teams ^^ The page has been broken for some time and hasn't been updated, but at...

A lot of great individuals mentioned for recent times. As a spectator of the bhangra scene for too many years to count, I would have to say: Vic Sehdev - founder & coach of SGPD. Probably the most dominant all-male team in the circuit at their peak. Kiran Mander & Mandeep Patrola - cofounders...

Nice job! A great start for sure. I would try to add a bit of padding/silence to the mix if you want to emphasize certain effects, lyrics, or parts of your mix. That "pause," in itself, adds a bit dynamic to a mix from a lister's standpoint. Lastly, I would try to work creating memorable...

Yay! Very excited for Houston to host a competition again!! G'luck to the organizers. ~ Basim :)

Greatly appreciate the quick video upload. Any way that we could get a track list? I really enjoyed a quick listen/watch. Performance looked fairly clean overall, but the stage lighting was rather disappointing. Ty in advance, ~ Basim :)

Thank you for posting the places in a topic Howie! Congrats to all placing teams. Looks like a D.C. takeover! Excited to see the sets when they get released. ~ Basim :)

Thanks for getting this thread going Sumeet! Btw, hope you don't mind, I added in full team names to your OP in order to make it easier for people who might not be as familiar with the acronyms. 1) KPGD 2) SMD 3) SCB Best of luck to all teams! ~ Basim :)

RIP Priya! Prayers to her family & loved ones. Came across this from several friends on facebook. Ty for sharing here Ankush. #BhangraFamily ~ Basim :)

Awesome design. Love the more "wood" looking material you have used Aalok. I'm glad it's not paint, which I was going to mention (as Howie stated) may fade/chip over time. I am sure there will be plenty of interest for these. ~ Basim :)

Hi Jags, No problem! You create a new topic without a poll if you prefer or simple post it here - it's all up to you. ~ Basim :)

Hello, Welcome to BTF. I am not really understanding the purpose of your poll. Also, why don't you just post a video your dhol problem in this topic rather than asking people to privately message you? Practically no one is going to go through that trouble. Furthermore, I hope you don't expect...

Hi Manvir! Welcome to BTF :) Thank you for joining our forum and sharing your videos. I hope that you stay active because we have a quite a few dhol players from all over the world and there are questions that come up from them.. on various topics such as playing dhol beats, repairing dhols...

Good stuff Kiron. Good concept going here. I enjoyed the faster pace of this song; it definitely sounds more "danceable" now. I'm also glad you didn't overpower the vocals, which are essential to the song & actually highly pronounced in the original track. If anything, on your mix, I would...

Hi Sukh, We have a pinned topic in this section of the forum with a title of *** MASTER LIST- List of DJs to hire for mixes ***. That provides teams with all DJ's available to work on a mix and provides a place where teams can easily compare styles. I would suggest that you add your...
