My vote: DJ 1
Feedback:
DJ 1 - Simple buildup, but excellent concept used for the beginning of the mix. Using Tom Diner's was a very unique idea. There was seemless transition into the main vocals of "Ek Dil" at 0:28. I love that you stressed the original song's vocals and kept Balwinder...
My vote: DJ 1
Feedback:
DJ 1 - As a lot of other people mentioned above, the pitch issues really bothered me. It caused your mix to sound very messy. I liked the movement of sound from right to left speaker during your into. You suppressed the vocals a lot which wasn't pleasing to me. You had...
I feel it's important to give these DJ's some feedback (even a little bit - i.e. "I liked your mix" or "I thought you could have improved on...") because they at least attempted to create a mix and it's not their fault that their opponents could not submit a song in time. I urge BTF to comment...
Click the words "Media Center" in the navigation panel towards the top of BTF. You can arrange the files in different ways and you should also be able to search for what you're after.
Hope this helps,
~ Basim :)
Amazing mix my friend - I loved the song selection and the creativity used during many part of this mix.
Shaun, could you attached the a high quality mp3 file of this mix on BTF? Definitely would love to bump it on my ipod for the gym and in the car.
~ Basim :)
Ahhhh, the memories this brings back! lol. I remember when we were picking songs for this mix and I was trying to get with few different people to help make a mix for our team. It was so frustrating and complicated - especially because I didn't know many people at the time.
Luckily Loveen...
lol Bballer. I'm pretty sure he meant $40/EA, not $40 for all 12 unless you know of a dollar store/thrift shop that sells bhangra accessories ;)
S1234preet, this question has been asked more than 100 times on this forum. Please use the "search" feature.
Here's a recent topic to get you...
Well establish a team first - I think you're still looking for people, so yeah.. that probably comes first. Also, when you have a full team, you guys can bounce "team name" ideas around amongst yourself. Who knows, you guys might be a lot more creative than us. Go with whatever makes you guys...
That's correct - you cannot delete posts. Is there a particular reason you want something deleted?
Regarding the forum display name - I can change mine under "Account Settings." But maybe those are part of my super human powers now.
Sorry for the confusion,
~ Basim :)
Name changes require 10 karma points on BTF.
Just playing! You can easily edit your forum display name by scrolling over on the "Profile" heading at the top, then clicking on "Account Settings." Hope this helps.

Haha, lowweeeed it! :) What a collabo - it looked so much fun. Great performance all!
The girl in the blue on the front left at 3:11 absolutely killed it. Great energy.
Btw, congrats Romy and Jasmeet (from BTF :P)
~ Basim :)
Absolutely sick track Epic Bhangra! Thanks for releasing/sharing it here. Your production is always top notch and you definitely have talent for this stuff. Amar's voice sounds great with this type of mix.
Keep at it. All the best my friend.
~ Basim :)
You actually will have a week for any challenges that are accepted by Monday (i.e. today). Songs get sent out as soon as possible to both DJ's who have accepted a challenge - trust me, we want to give DJ's the maximum time possible without compromising the other stuff in our complete 2 week...
Creative idea xlnc and I'm sure it would be cool to see this actually happen, but I'm not sure how "do able" it is.
Are these 4-6 dancers basically selected individuals on existing teams? If so, even preparing like a 1 min choreographed segments require some time. With school back in full swing...
I thought you were following along with the thread.
To summarize, tahli = sheesham (it's the same wood), so your question doesn't really make sense.
The only two differences are what I was trying to mention in my post above:
1) The light (kaachi, chitti, or whatever word you want to use to...
Excellent recap Jake!
With only ONE vote seperating the battle between Sangeen & DJ Jassi and only TWO votes seperating the battle between DJ Ra & Swizzee, this really shows how much each of your votes count!
Regarding the "coil flip" incident, it will get discussed amongst the mixing mods...
