Hello Meetu, Can you please stop spamming ALL message boards on this website? While we appreciate you sharing your songs, you don't need to create a new topic in each section of BhangraTeamsForum (BTF). One topic in the most appropriate section should be enough. ~ Basim :) P.S. - Had...

Hello Hannah, I'm Basim, yeah I'm 1/2 Punjabi - if that matters to you. First off, welcome to the forums. You didn't mention if your bhangra team of 16 is co-ed, all-female, or all-male (maybe you're just the captain?). Regardless, here are some local teams in the Chicago area that might...

I think this guy actually jipped off this dynamic duo: Emīls Mangulis (MUNDIAN KE BACH KE) Added bonus: Full lyrics in English if you want to sing like these guys!! ~ Basim :)

I think you first have to make a decision on whether you want to BUY some speakers or RENT some speakers. Nobody else can make that decision but you. You can always do the return thing that Nishan suggested or ask some DJ's around your area to rent their equipment (depending on how big this...

Sheel & Cherag = BAWS! Nice judging panel. Good luck with the competition Motor City Bhangra! Great effort shown on your behalf thus far - should be a fun event for participants & audience members! ~ Basim :)

Yup, as Jasraj stated - 3 day event. I believe it was held in 2008 though. Rooh Punjab Dee took 1st. That was sick performance. Wish it was easier for other teams across the world to come out so that it truly would be a "worldwide competition." Good luck with the event Avtar paaji! ~ Basim :)

This is actually a legit song compared to half the shit I've heard lately. Thanks for sharing, ~ Basim :)

Absolutely LOVED the practice video because it really shows how much stamina you guys have. The routine was pure hype all the way through! Often times you cannot tell the amount of stamina/constant energy that is needed to pull off certain sets without watching an up-close practice video. Don't...

lmao Shaun! Pure jokes. Wow, now my ears hurt! ~ Mr. Sucky :)

Sounds like a good idea, but I doubt organizations will adopt it. It's simply not practical. Let's say we take a typical competition (if you have the top 3 teams, then that's 6 teams TOTAL - live & music). You're talking about 6 teams x 7 minutes per performance = 35 minutes at the MINIMUM...

Sickkk collabo performance. Congrats Ricky. Keep it up boys! ~ Basim :)

Too funny! Nice job Sumit :) Well scripted "storyline" - can't wait for part 2! ~ Basim :) P.S. - This topic would be more appropriate in the "Off Topic" section of the forums.

Karan, for the sake of humanity, please stop this thread from progressing. As a veteran of the BTF community, I can't even tell you how of many of these "folk" vs "modern" threads we've had in the past. If you really want answers to your questions (especially when you bring up 2008), why not go...

Awesome videos Hardeep! Thanks so much for putting them up. Kinda sucks that you got cut off on Nishani's performance video. Stupid that they said recording isn't allowed in the theater when the Boston Bhangra committee just said it was "okay" to release videos online. Appreciate your efforts...

I'm glad Boston Bhangra finally came to their senses about this. Could it have been sparked by the commotion many of us raised last year regarding this issue (http://bhangrateamsforum.com/discuss/post-mixes-and-video-links/aeg-front-hd-video-nov-12th/msg184195/#msg184195)? Who knows? I'm just...

LOL! Loved this comment. That's all, ~ Basim :)

April 6, 2013* I like the idea and I know the organizational team behind this competition is gonna do an amazing job. Looking forward to another great competition on the circuit. Congrats on getting selected Cal Bhangra & UNC - can't wait to see the rest of the teams! ~ Basim :)

Awesome mix Jassi! Do you plan to mix a full version? Would love to bump this in my car and on my ipod. ~ Basim :)

Always very happy to see good things come to people like this & their family/close ones. He seem like a good guy - I just hope he doesn't get hounded too much by hundreds of people who just want some of his winnings. Unfortunately, I know that's inevitable, especially since he decided to make...
