Props to the boys of FCB who came up with the idea! This should spark more activity and create some fun at BTF :) Looking foward to the videos. Good luck to all! ~ Basim :)

Is that Jessica dancing in that "Team Jabar Part 1" performance? Woohoo! It finally happened! ~ Basim :)

I posted a fairly comprehensive list of old & new teams that made a large impact on the bhangra scene. You can check it here if you missed it the first time around. ~ Basim :)

Nice work! Great improvements on this episode. Danny is a pretty chill guy. If you're reading, I enjoyed the stories you shared bro. Just be careful with those stunts man, especially considering you mentioned that you do a lot of them on solid concrete! I also love that's you're is pursing a...

Wow, that was insane. Great find Shahzaib! ~ Basim :)

+1 - My thoughts are parallel with Waldo's. I'm hoping that someone who actually does have access to view this TV show can record the episodes for us to enjoy! ~ Basim :)

Gurnak, you're the best man! Thanks for pulling through on this. Swi, if you can, please upload it to the BTF youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/BhangraTeamsForum). Saleem might have the login information for that. I suggest downloading the entire video, adding captions, then...

Yes, that would be awesome! I asked Gurnak, the king of translations on BTF to possibly help with this. Hopefully he comes through for us. ~ Basim :)

Yeah, as Gagan inferred, it depends on what quality of vardiyan you're after. If this is for a long term team, it would be a wise "investment" to buy high quality stuff from the beginning. You could perform at some GIGS (among other fundraising activities) to help reimburse the cost associated...

*Bump* These podcasts deserve more exposure! Please listen in everyone :) Thanks for your courteous responses back Dheerja & Kush! Just wanted to touch on one other thing Dheerja inquired about: I agree with your statement that just having a BTF thread is not proactive enough to get...

Is that when you turn 18? ~ Basim :)

+ Her voice is killer! I remember she sang "Panchi" in the Coke Studio episode and it was unreal. Definitely a ton of talent there. Reminded a lot of a young Abida Parveen. Thanks for sharing virkenator! ~ Basim :)

Not a bad episode. My critiques are below: - Firstly, thanks for releasing it on BTF. Not everyone has iTunes or keeps up with it. So much easier to download as an mp3 file and listen to any place you want. - Way, way, way too long. 45 minutes is simply too long time for a weekly podcast...

Down with Notorious Jatt, Up with "Beware of the Boys" www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7BXd77Yujo Get to work DJ's! ;) ~ Basim :)

wtf did I just watch? ~ Basim :)

Yep, I believe you're right about Gabroo Shokeen. I believe "Shan Punjabi Di" started in 1998 (could be wrong). All I remember was that they were an independent folk team that came out of San Jose and awed audiences when "modern" bhangra was dominating. Not sure about the Gabroo Punjabis.. I...

So lots of people already mentioned the active & newer teams, but whose ready for an old school throwback? Probably only a few people here will recognize the impact a lot these teams made, but: 1) Khalsa Junction (KJ) 2) Lethal Bhangra Crew (LBC) 3) Sher Foundation 4) Punjabi Soormay 5)...

Download link to the song Sukha mentioned: http://bhangrateamsforum.com/discuss/post-mixes-and-video-links/sgpd-clear-front-view/?action=dlattach;attach=11402 Enjoy! ~ Basim :)

Phillip Chbeeb is RAW! Insane amount of talent that guy has. I remember him when he first auditioned for "So You Think You Can Dance?" Bonus points because he's originally from TEXAS! ~ Basim :)
