Yes i was wondering the same thingTurbo said:I was just wondering why would a team dance to this song. The song is about girls that have lost their "virsa" so to speak. Talkin bout, "tusi kaadiyan punjabna"....what kind of a punjabi are you..?...Jhummar is suppose to be happy lovey dovey isn't it? This song is pretty much laying the smack down on girls in the west....am i missing something? Or do teams just not know what the singer is saying???
oh boy don't get me started on this topic. pisses me off how many idiotic teams dance to songs that they don't know the meaning of. Worst one I ever heard was "kanjri de kotey ney pyar milda" done by a co ed team. The girls were lip syncing the song haha. Im PRETTY sure they didn't know the meaning of that line. Relax everyone, theres enough acceptable bhangra songs out there that have "sick beats" or "get the crowd going" and most importantly relevant lyrics.siddyp said:on that note, do judges really take lyrics into consideration when they give points? If they do, then this song is not one teams should dance to. If they don't, is it still a problem if teams dance to it? Half the crowd in attendance probably doesn't understand punjabi, so does it bother the ones who do?
lol iight, i am going to recreate the instrumental and i want you to rewrite the lyrics for me..done dealMeistro said:oh boy don't get me started on this topic. pisses me off how many idiotic teams dance to songs that they don't know the meaning of. 1. meistro what song has that kanjari line. i find that kinda hilarious haha.
are you talking about the 'ran rakh ni kabootar wargi' part? hahaha. essentially means he wants to keep a woman like a pigeon. 'ran' itself sounds crude but it is not the equivalent to rundi so i guess they can get away with it.Akhil said:No one really pays attention to lyrics...
Teams have danced to baggeh baggeh before... Coed teams even.
Maybe i understood the lyrics wrong lol. Anyone care to translate?
