Just a quick clarification. The uncle at the end is the father of 2 of our dancers (Manvir & Gagnvir Kehal). He has been an inspiration to the whole team from the very get go. This one belongs to the Kehals!

Just thought I should put this out there - Any team using Lasers is extremely limited - you are not allowed to point them into the audience at all, even if for a second while turning. Probably why we didn't see too many "tricks" with the Laser Khunde.

well deserved first place, this was one of the few performances of the night i actually liked, all the gimmicks were clean and new, loved the lasers for daangs part too and the man in the end killed it +1000 for that

Considering your emphasis on live bhangra being the best bhangra, I'd say you make 100% sense.

So I just want to say something before you guys bash the mix, which you guys have every right too haha. I don't want you all to fault the Dj's who made the mix (Sargam, Karan). They in the past have provided not just AEG, but the circuit with some tremendous mixes and they will still continue to do so.

This one was actually on the team. Given our deadlines and our team scrambling to get ready we kept making changes until the final deadline and didn't give our experts a real "go" at the mix. I hope that you all still enjoyed the mix and the routine. As I always say, we are here to entertain and better ourselves. Every critique will be kept in mind before we begin our next venture =)

How a team ends its set is crucial to placing at competitions looking for innovation and ingenuity. The ending of the set leaves a lasting tone for your performance, and heavily influences judges and audience members. AEG knows that, and took advantage of it - that ending was classic and an instant crowd/judge pleaser. At competitions like Bruin, WBBC, Boston etc, endings can make or break teams.


Great work AEG - in my eyes you all have won 2 competitions in the past 2 months: Bruin obviously, but also WBBC - you may not have been a competing team, but AEG as a committee was certainly first place material

ENJOYED THIS! good song selection.. bindrakhia, phulkari, chandigarh waliye, bhabhiye, and esp bhangra paunde ne ..perfectly suited the ending.
Ending was so so so adorable. End segment truly represented what bhangra is all about.
Liked those phumans. super cool!
And laser khunde, of course!
Choreo including phumania at 2:20 was cool!

the one thing that AEG consistently does is entertain the crowd. Thats not to say that other teams dont with their gimmicks, but AEG always seems to dance to entertain a crowd versus simply to execute a routine, which is a big difference. Like in the beginning, when those guys were just gettin into it and clappin to the beat and smilin, gettin the audience pumped, didnt really see that from the other teams. Theres more confidence in their dance and it shows in their interaction with the audience.


Also that one orange jodi with the beard.. mad props man! you got some great talent and you look hella badass with ur beard. Throughout the video I was only lookin at u and the one blue jodi, well done.

And after WBBC, I think it's safe to say that Anik knows a thing or two about how to end a performance I agree with him here: the ending was what really pushed the routine over the top. It was a solid routine, for sure, but the most memorable moments certainly came in the last two minutes.

...To tell you the truth I could care less what you would say Just because I prefer live performances Does not mean I don't enjoy a creative/modern performance, Times change ideas change,Its fun 2 see what some teams do because you could do so much They didn't go Over and Out though using pointless gimmicks. I wont even get into it more with you, not worth my time

AEG was just amazing this past weekend. I got the opportunity to witness this live and I can't describe how I felt at the end of their performance. They got the crowd on their feet and screaming towards the end which was incredible. Hats off to you guys. Love this performance. Congrats to you guys and all the other teams that placed.

I watched the vid again, Just wanted to say (and I don't even know if Harjot will ever see this) but the angle on these videos is sooooo much better than the front shot. You admittedly sacrifice some facial zoom-ins but the fact that you can see the formations is clutch for me. I hope that this becomes a new trend with GTV

I suspect it's based on the layout of the venue. He's generally in the very back of the first floor or in a designated open area, so I suspect he doesn't have a lot of choice in the matter
