As someone that as followed kidd skilly for quite some time...I don't like this track at all...there has to be a point where you compromise yourself as an artist in order to go realllly mainstream...and he just hit it pretty haard...I loved Ni Sohniye...

I remember back in the day when kidd skilly's rhymes were innocent, intellectual, and on point....if you wanna go mainstream, don't make it obvious....

did he really compare lollipop to mitthae gunnaeh? come on now...as much I've supported him, this is just strange....yes we all know lollipop is a popular song but interpreting it, and giving his spin (and a kind of punjabi one at that) is strange.

He needs to pick a side...(hip hop mainstream or indian mainstream)...either that or come up with a way to do it the way he did Ni SOhniye)...which I'm actually still not sure whether I like what kidd skilly does in that track as far as lyrically..I think I its cuz of Akon's hook and the great production with the beat....

(See why Plies' hypnotized and shawty got popular...even though he shows no real lyrical ability...T Pain and Akon kill the hook, and the producers to their thing)

yoo the song is omggg like jeeti said did he really compare lollipop to mittha gunnaeh....i dont think there is any punjab song that takes lyrics and intreprets them in such a way

and ya its not considered punjabi...but the fact that he is using a symbol used often in punjabi songs and movies as somethin innocent and makin it dirty....thats a huge risk...ppl r definetly gonna think differently...personally id like to keep the songs we have clean i dont see a reason y indians need to start singin bout makin out, havin sex in songs-ok sure it shows our generations persepective on being more open to talk about such subjects yet i still that no matter what culture u r u gotta keep it limited

yes Parul...I don't want to hear a song interpreted into punjabi...that I'm already associating with Lil Wayne who did it rather dirty...

I like to keep the two worlds of music separate...one innocent, and one not so much.

Meh, I don't like it. Lolipop is a fantastic song, but Kidd Skilly should be making his own original stuff and not concentrating on making South Asian versions of popular mixes. Everyone already does that.

I loved Ni Soniye and Bhangra Chick (love the MSU Bhangra parts too). But this does not work for me.

GARBAGE. the beat for lollipop is amazing i love it but he totally went off from being original. Ni Sohinye was what actually got me interested in his stuff but this is some of the material that I think "why would you try to remix a song that already has gone super hit" I mean how can you top that???
