So does sunlite not dance then? I don't understand...he makes mixes for other teams for fun? and doesn't dance? Or do teams pay him to make the mixes?Heera-Singh said:The mix was dopeSwi said:The drake remix part was really poorly done for instance (from music standpoint) and should just be taken out.
from "a music standpoint" the guy who makes ABC's mix and our is one of the sickest mixers out there
SHOUT OUT TO SUNLITE!
Respect, that's awesomeHarmeet said:sunlite has been a good friend of our team for over 3 years now, he has been making our mixes since we started. He has also danced with us at bhangra bash 2008, and played dhol for us various times as well. He is just as much a part of our team as any other member. He does not charge for mixes, he does it because he is a member of our team, just like he is a member of regiment.
Video of abc using hiphop in 07 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nb8YAdb9UWo . actually started in 06 at gigs. sorry no videos on file lolPranava said:I'm pretty sure Klasikhz used hip-hop samples in DRP mixes around 2006-2007. Sher foundation had samples of Lion King's In the Jungle and Walk it Out in their mixes around then too.faizan said:Did ABC START this trend? Debatable.
AEG has been consistently using hip hop in its mixes since 2007-2008. Anyone else have any idea what other teams were using hip hop early on? Not trying to argue, just want to set a marker and give recognition to the team(s) that started it. As I can remember the teams that really made hip hop a staple of their mixes were ABC and AEG starting in like 2007-2008. Who else was there?
Seems like functionality of mixing software and a few talented DJs pushed the trend.
