My placings

1. ABC
2. SGPD
3. Abbotsford/Kohinoor

That show looked like so much fun to be in! I WISH I WISH I WISH other competitions took notes.

A few things that Idols did right was (from just watching it on ustream):
1. The entrances. I think some people in the chat on ustream didn't like it, but I loved it. I think when you're a dancer, and you get that kind of hype/appreciation, you get quite a great feeling. I think other BIG comps should do that. It felt like the Olympics opening ceremony with the teams parading down, holding up their team name.
2. The intro videos were enjoyable and fun to watch
3. The show had generally a good pace. Sure, the last bit with the random comedy show was a little long, but it was expected since there were so many judges, and that's a lot of scores to tally up.
4. The live stream. That was awesome, but I really think they should invest in a better CDN provider (ustream doesn't guarantee quality, but it was a great service to have). This is only something I know since I work for a company that provides the service, and is quite good at it. But not a problem, it seems that Idols is already preparing for next year, and good job. I really commend them for also being on the chat as well, and monitoring what people had to say in terms of quality.
5. Benson Joseph....you know what you did! "Arjun Barua created the Jatts"

What wasn't so fun:
1. The trolls on the chat on ustream. It seemed like the POL times. People were just shit talking, and making things up about various teams. It got rather annoying, but it was still fun calling them out.

I feel like the only real competition for SGPD is at a comp like Elite...otherwise, besides Nachdi and maybe VCU- there's no team (that's modern-ly traditional) that is up to that standard.

This is really just my opinion - there are definitely some sick, strong teams on the circuit, but not quite strong enough (yet) to beat SGPD.

One small thing I noticed was the brooming of the stage after every performance. I don't know why other comps don't do this also. Just broom the stage so no pins or broken sapp pieces are left on the stage. The LBC incident at elite wouldn't have happened

The competition was fun to watch on ustream. I tripped out with all the different camera angles. The only thing i suggest is cut the comedy show and invest in a few good TI-83 Plus calculators. Speed things up a bit. Shan-E-Punjab Little Stars won first in my book.

ABC surprised me the most... absolutely loved it! watched it on the stream and was wow'd. well deserved 2nd and now I'd def call myself a fan... can't wait for the video

Watching the comp live is very cool because you just see everyone once... interesting to see what you remember. here's what i remember:

- AVA girls are too sickk, co-ed i thought wouldn't be good for them but i actually enjoyed it a lot. set was the usual AVA but with more formations. a couple guys were weak, girls held it down. channi was crazy
- Loved Jawani's jhummar
- Panj 3-color was working for them and beginning was cool. good mix, good set the usual panj. gimmicks were weak
- Abby mad clean and wicked dancers, but same gimmicks and songs as last year and I don't remember the set
- Missed SFU and Kohinoor to get wendy's and go to my friend's house but she kept saying kohinoor was reeallyy strong
- KPGD, pretty good. 8-man was weak for idols but they did good, nice set and good mix
- SGPD, deserved 1st place hands down

Eeveryone's stunts were failing... I think the stunt requirement should be revoked or at least reduced to just 1

I think it was either like the jabbawockeez masks they had for Fusion '08 but just painted different colors, or they were ninja masks.

I thought KPGD was very entertaining and the mix was one of the more fun ones of the night. The month before Boston should help them clean up and come hard at BBC
