Eeeeek. Watching the HD definitely changed my opinion of this set.

It's a HUGE risk to go the fast choreo route, and unfortunately it did not pay off for you guys. In the past, I have been a big fan of the BK "spider-monkey" style (term coined by Arjun Banerjee :)) which involves a lot of jumps, a lot of squats, a lot of spins and fast choreo that definitely requires a lot of stamina. However, you guys failed to properly execute it and not all of your guys could handle it.

It was a messy set. People made mistakes. When you have complicated choreography, a single mistake can kill the choreo or ruin the effect. But more than that, you need to go back to the drawing board in terms of formations. They were ugly. If you have crazy complicated high energy steps, don't incorporate complicated formation mechanisms. Even if you can flawlessly execute it, it may be too much for the human mind to comprehend. Formations were poorly executed: People were off here and there. Purple seemed to have problems hitting his spots a few times or seemed to lag behind. some steps need to be fully executed, but more importantly, you need to standardize them amongst your dancers. In terms of steps, they seemed a bit jerky at times. I've always said that a great dancer knows when to be graceful and knows when to be energetic. Add some graceful steps in your routine to show off the talent of your dancers.

You guys have phenomenal energy and stamina. The violin segment was mad creative, but I would have him get to the side of the stage faster. While the dude has talent, the gimmick won't win competitions nor is it an instrument competition. The concentration should still be on your dancers. They should be in the center, still doin their thang as normal. Get to the Mirza segment faster and cut. I'm not saying hide your violinist, but you won't win extra points for it if the other dancers are compromising good choreo so the spotlight is on him.

Also: I would tell you guys to get new saaps. The big saaps look great for slower saap routines, but look clumsy for fast saap segments.

I am giving you this critique under the assumption that you are a tier-one team. You guys have a lot of potential to place and win at the top competitions. But remember, if you choose to go fast, jump high and squat low, make sure everyone can handle it. The most important thing to show on stage to the audience is not how fast you can spin, but how much you can dance like a team. If you want to have crazy effects, drill the choreo so no one forgets it. Yeah, mistakes happen to everyone, but your choreo absolutely depends on everyone being on spot. CLEAN this shit up - I have higher expectations of you guys.

i thought this performance was really tight actually, and i'm pretty surprised that this performance didn't get you guys at least third place, i would def say this performance is placing material...much better than i expected. the violin mirza was insane and really creative, LOVED that you guys incorporated that into your performance, big ups to your violinist. performance was a little sloppy at times and it seemed like at random points in the performance some of the dancers energy levels would drop just a bit, and that was pretty noticable

also, the fact that the guy who's chadhra came undone during the performance came right back out after fixing it so fast - IMO was really sick, even tho it wasn't planned, definetly added another element to your performance lol

overall, sick ass performance, light blue guy had crazy energy - can't wait to see what u guys bring next

So my review would have been a whole lot of repitition of kinnell. he gave you guys a really, honest, and pretty accurate review. Not in a mean way, but I liked you guys 10x better last year. You seemed to have a better handle on your routine, esp. by the time Bash came around. Level out your dancers, make sure everyone knows there moves, and establish a STYLE! you guys already had one, but this one looked messier (prob. cause of the newbs, not a big deal just address it). This set is def an improvement, just bring back the execution from last year.

A few thing I noticed about the routine, jsut my opinon

1) Dont do moves like you did in 2 verticle lines, cause the lines werent straight, its really ahrd to get everyone lined up

2) I was a fan of the khunde my fav part of your routine, but messy at pars like 1:17

3) Loved the shikka song, the moves at 1:56-1:57 didnt work, overall too fast and that made too messy

4) Pehla Gehra song- stay away from the leaning jugnee, NJ came out with it in 2006 and it just doesnt have the same effect anymore, makes things look messy

5) Jhummer was fine

6) Udham S- seemed outta place some of the moves seemd awkward

7) Violin Jugnee- i liked it, but some of the guys were off

8) Mirza I liked

9) the songa after jugni got boring slowed the routine down

10) Pappi gill- tintara too messy

11) Jaan Nahi Pyari- once again verticle straight lines, you cant possibly do phulke in those and get clean enough, stay away from those

12) last song I liked

Overall, you guys have a lot of potential and Im actually a fan so keep it up. Slow down and clean it up! Good Luck

2min into it - i havent yet seen this mismatch of styles that everyone is talking about. perhaps will come up later. As of now, though, i have just seen a crazzzzzyyyy daang segment, and the energy in both that and saap segment is mindblowing. i love the way the khunde are decorated too. looks sick with ur vardiyan. so far i am loving this and yeah it def. reminds me a bit of Sher Fdn. intro to saap is crazzy in the mix iqwak totally hooked u guys upppp. and the synchronization after the buildup (teer teri akh da nishani part) was spot on!!!

by the end of the performance i felt that this was a really entertaining set and i love ur guys' energy. any critique that i would have said has already been mentioned above - main thing i would say is to standardize and clean it up. for example olive green guy and purple guy (red guy mostly does too but occasionally gives too much power i think) generally do the moves with lot of grace, but the guy in light peach/tan vardi (hes frontmost person at 6:35) tends to move his arms lot more forcefully than the others. overall i really like ur guys' ideas, violin piece was legendary (yeaeaahhh Union City!!!) and props on sustaining so much energy. keep it up, gluck at warrior!!!
