This was a good video..the people on spark actually did a fair bit of research before making the video so they dont end up sounding like idiots.

This video can serve as a great 101 for someone who doesn't know anything about bhangra and the NA bhangra scene.

Can someone provide us with a youtube link for this video? You may have to rip it from facebook and post it on youtube, I don't know how to do it.

That was awesome...They do a really good job of representing the bhangra scene as it is today...most of the stuff you read and see has a hard time explaining competitive bhangra nowadays and how it compares to traditional bhangra.

That was really well made! As opposed to normal documentaries on bhangra that normally follow around modern teams, this was an amazing combination. The dressing room part was really good!

I really enjoyed this as well! The guy from Nachdi was funny and Jasbir from Bhangra Empire singing was off the chain.

I love how they recognized & showed the two very distinct styles (modern & traditional) of Bhangra in North America. One of the best quotes was: "There will always be a debate on traditional and modern, but I think no matter how it was first originated and how much it has evolved now, Bhangra is still an important part traditionally & culturally. No matter what interpreation, it is still Bhangra and it means a lot to us."

What I didn't like was only "India" mentioned when speaking of Bhangra/Punjab.. but that's nothing out of the ordinary being a Pakistani in Bhangra ;) Overall, a very nicely done documentary. I agree with Arjun that it would be great for newcomers to the NA Bhangra scene.

P.S. - Vicky Virk from DholRhythms PWNS Sarina Jain any day of the week ;D

That was really enjoyable to watch! I have no idea what Spark is but all I know now is that they did a great job on this. Great scenes and information for people who don't know much about bhangra.

This documentary should be extrapolated and lengthened...
that would've been even tighter. very well done
